    One of the best Disney films to come out of this century so far; my mom even used it in her job as a literature teacher, and her students had to analyze the themes of the film, character development, and other things you look for when analyzing literature. But the best part about it, just like the best part about any film, was the soundtrack.

    @@BrianBisetti I believe so. Wayne definitely played lead on the second one, and while they may have swapped throughout on some numbers, I've been of the mindset that Rick was lead in the original.

    Ah yes my favorite tempo marking, (Slower - 120) also known as "Get Down Sexy Bitches" 😂 In all seriousness, great job on analyzing and laying out the intro to one of my favorite Disney & Pixar movies ever! Michael Giacchino's score and the amazing musicians he had assembled for this movie are just some of many favorite things about it. (I also honestly think it helped me fall in love with jazz music!)     I LOVE this Pixar movie and the soundtrack, so nostalgic! Michael Giacchino makes a a lot of good composing masterpieces! Fun fact: He’s the one who composed the soundtrack for Rogue One: A Star Wars Story! ^^

    Seeing it this way, it's so similar to pit orchestra music! Even your annotations, in the reed books for Little Shop of Horrors there are all sorts of funny directions for any exposed parts. It's cool that there are also a lot of key changes (one of the more trying I encountered was Hello Dolly, whew) despite the lack of vocalists

    I think it was in the "I am your biggest fan" motif, Giacchino likes to alter key and sometimes notes to themes to make them sinister, sad, happy, etc.
