30 bucks isn’t for me, but on the shiny cardboard topic the single card market’s looking great!

The new angle looks great! The shine on the cards really stands out compared to before.

The new angle is much nicer. It looks clearer and maximizes the space the cards take on the screen.

I think the new camera angle lets us see the foiling on the cards much better, especially the Luxury Rares.

I think the problem is that the value just isn't there to justify it. Some locals have to bump the price on the set too cause they can't get a good price from distributors. One box $150 after tax... about 8.50 per pack when more often than not you're pulling less than 5 bucks in value per pack.

30 dollars per box is insane. If they had a promo like the Legacy of Destruction mini boxes did then maybe they’d be worth it though.

Damn these are steep prices but that's for the set as a whole. The specific product you got was right in line. It does make me realise how much crazy money you must have spent to fill the binder though 😬😂

This entire set is expensive no matter how you buy it. Hoping terminal revenge goes back to standard prices. Really looking forward to the new ice barrier cards

This is the opposite of legacy of destruction. The online prices seem better than walmart prices. But this takes out the risk of getting scammed out of the picture. RAC02 is still pretty good

Considering the packs are 10 bucks each by itself, I say you're not really losing anything or getting ripped off. Again, the problem mainly comes from Konami charging so much for the packs in the first place. So yes, Walmart and other retailers selling these are doing an ok thing doing this.

Yugioh players are so hard to please. More foil = more money. Do you expect Konami to just eat that cost? Also, these RC sets have been the best sets Konami has ever printed by far. If the drawback to dirt cheap singles is higher sealed cost, it's a big W.

My local Walmart moved the cards behind the cigarette line for a few years and it was so hard to buy cards during that time. You couldn't even see them all, and explaining to a boomer cashier what you're wanting was like pulling teeth. They finally moved them back to their original spot by the self checkout and you can get to them yourself again.

The mini boxes are a great idea, I love it, but the $30 price tag is tough!

I agree with your take on the higher price for higher quality. It makes sense. I rarely buy loose packs anymore. It's much easier to buy a few boxes and get most of the set.

The best part about rarity collection is the singles. Nothing better then 30c magicians soul/ blue eyes cards.

It's expensive but still worth it. Booster box is still the way to go I think. Really like the new angle for the videos! (rip the games in the background)

Rarity collection doesn't disappoint with the shininess of the cards.

For the record. RC1: 80$ for 24 packs 5 cards RC2: 140$ for 18 packs 9 cards RC1: 66c per card RC2: 86c per card Maybe its different for others, but this was the prices at my locals. Despite it being more expensive, I think it would have been fine if the cards in the set were actually worthwhile. Its all niche off-meta that you probably already have and rarely use. Like Trident and Bonfire would have been perfect for this set, I know they're trying to save the core set for the tins, so the others are excusable.

Yeah the price at walmart is expensive. The only reason I brought them over getting a box is I'm notorious for having awful booster boxes and pulling notably above average on any other product with packs or just packs themselves. (I got 4qcr in 9 packs with one being ghost ogre and in total got 10 cards that wasn't the standard super, ultra secret rarity)

Loved the opening and pulls! The value definitely isn’t there but it might the only available option for some people

Sure it's a bit expensive, compare to usual sets, but as you said when you don't to wait for your shipment or just want to buy packs it's a great deal ! Here in France, each pack is like 13€ and 25€ for a 2 boosters box in shops haha

They were $22.99 usd here for a 3 pack box and the pulls were pretty worth it. Made the money back and was able to keep some cards for my control deck

magic collectors packs are similar to rarity collection but rather than foil staples, its all foil cards but from that specific set! For $30 per pack tho, it can be a bit of a gamble considering the odds

The MSRP is obsured for these unless there is something you need in the set. Plus some of these cards have been reprinted in to obscurity. Plus those boosters you should have checked Target their boosters you get 2 for $5.99. Usually LOB and Spell Ruler.

If you've got $100 to spend, booster box is definitely better but if you don't want to spend that much, $30 will get ya a fun opening... hoping they come out with $10 single packs eventually to make it easier to stomach for a spur the moment purchase

I received my RC2 from SassyTCG using your link. Although it was advertised at $110, the price was actually marked up to $115 to account for the 5% discount, which felt a bit misleading. However, I'm still happy with my purchase as the final price was fair.

Considering this is MSRP, should be expected. You can still find boxes all over online for $115-120.

They’re fairly priced in terms of packs, but the lack of blisters is a shame

Nice opening! In terms of value, a booster box would definitely be more worth it. However, it is still going to cost you more to buy an entire box, so these 3-packs are still a nice way of getting a "shiny fix" every now and then... while stocks last! :)

Make a great point about the feel good part of getting this set when you’re really looking for that shiny cardboard, but I do think a better price point would at least be 25 instead of 30 to go for the box though I thinknonetheless still love the video and will probably pick up one or two of these at Walmart lol

$30 isn’t too expensive compared to the individual pack price at my locals of $10 each. The problem is there isn’t really anything high priced in the set to chase after.

1: new camera angle goes hard, and 2: your argument on the pack price is fair, it’s more frustrating that they changed it, like yeah it’s a good set, but it’s just rough if you just want a quick cheap pack for fun, 4 of any other set is $20, while rarity is less packs to open per price, and i feel like the fun you said of the set is more on the fault of our rarity system, like if we had the OCG system which is what rarity collection does every pack would have a much higher chance of being fun

This set is fun to open and you get better rates of pulls than 01.
