Just imagine in past days hearing the hounds as they hunted you. Scary as. That sidesaddle rider's horse was just my type and I do love Bloodhounds and hounds in general. It looked like a lovely day.

What a fabulous day. After the previous rain you must all have been very happy to get some sunshine. So much work involved getting not just one, but 6 ready for the day.......impressive. Loved seeing the lady riding side saddle. She was very elegant.

What a terrific day! I have so many questions! How big was your field? That looked like a lot of riders. How many hounds? What distance is each line usually? And how do you find the runners? A great matching of otherwise very different sports. Thanks for sharing your day!😀

We had 55 riders We had 5 couple out Normally each line is approx 2.5 miles Runners are all friends or people who have phoned up to say please May I run who have become friends!!!

I had no idea that this type of "hunt" existed! How cool! (Might have just told my bf that as he does trail running, I could HUNT him. hahaha.) Thanks for sharing!

We have breckan Belfast and some of the puppies we have rehomed many of them and the chairman of the bloodhounds has several of the older ones too

Greys out in MUD omg 😂 you need hoods with zips so much easier and with the burrs buy a can of spray coconut oil much cheaper than your fancy horse anti Tangier’s but does a great job -

Belated Happy Birthday! It was hubby's on the 20th and we brewed beer. As usual a great video. Two questions. Firstly, as Mozette is a brother to Brody (I believe) does he do XC? Secondly, do they still do 3-day XC at Goodwood?

Mozette isn’t closely related to brody but he is from the same stud. He does do xc but I had originally got him because he had fallen out of love with jumping. He has rediscovered it now but is quirky when on his own. And no they don’t do anything at good wood anymore. Xx

Shame about Goodwood. I guess now it's just Horse racing and Motor stuff. Here I am in Virginia known for horses such as the great Mill Reef & Secretariat and there is hardly anything close by me unless you are a Foxhunter. Hugs to Mozette.@@justinewardeventing

He did get his rug caught one day after he literally jumped in and out 5 times right before my eyes - he was just doing it for fun……but he fell when he got it caught and only did it once after that and hasn’t done it for ages but I’m very careful not to leave him out on his own if I’m not around…..
