The lighting of Sydney´s Cauldron it´s the most glorious olympic moment EVER for me... i mean... look how insane the crowd got as the UFO rises on fire from the water, as you can see by the amount of flashes coming from the audience. Camera work and the orchestral music were perfection . Not even the cauldron´s technical problem stole the magic that this moment represent.

Barcelona was boring. This was an astonishingly creative feat. Everything about it is executed perfectly, from the music to the lightening and set design it’s all breathtaking. And not to mention Cathy Freeman, an aboriginal woman representing Australia brings tears.

This is the best Opening Ceremony of the Olympics in this 21st Century. I've seen on KZread all the Olympics Opening ceremonies from Seoul to Barcelona to Atlanta to Sydney to Beijing to London and to Rio de Janeiro. This Sydney Olympics is the most lively and spectacular. The audience are so energetic that they cheered all the participating countries in the parade of nations that even the smallest and unknown countries were cheered. Unlike in other olympics, they cheered only the popular and favorite countries.😊

I am from sydney. it was a magical time. when i went. everyone was so happy. strangers came up to me hugged me and give me high 5s. i think half of them were drunk. lol but it was just such a happy time. there was no negativity. the vibe was amazing. the spectators was just so happy to be there. i think that was part of the reason. everyone was just so happy to be there witnessing it

I was in that choir singing (amongst other songs earlier) Tibi Omnes at the torch lighting. We sat in the “waterfall” and moved to the right and left just before the water started. We were all wearing grey Olympic ponchos to keep dry. This is the first time I’ve ever ever seen the recording. It brings hairs up on the back of my neck and tears to my eyes. It’s great.
