    The good thing about this 70 year old field ratio is, that the radioactive pollution is much lower, than the fresh food you can eat today. After all the nuclear tests and nuclear power plant disasters that happened after 1942. So, from this perspective, this food is very healthy.

  • @TheOneZenith

    That was actually pretty cool. It's neat to see how long preserved food can last and still be edible, even though it may not taste very good. Thanks for the video, henry gilman.

    He made a good point about the keys being inside of the can. Doesn't really help with opening the can. The only thing you could do is put the keys into your pocket to use on the next can. But that still would not help to get the first can open. Too funny.

  • @gulfwindsrealty

    @gulfwindsrealty

    The "keys" are a one time use item. Once you've opened a can, all of the metal is wound around the key tightly. There was a key originally on the exterior of each can.

  • @frydemwingz
    @frydemwingz10 жыл бұрын

    This just goes to show how society was back then. It has two keys inside because if you really had to open the first one by force or by bayonet, you had one key to keep, and one to give to the guy beside you. Also, I was hoping so hard you had a pack with smokes in it. That would rock so hard.

    I was going through my emergency stocks of tinned goods last night and decided to treat the kids to a tin of Hampers chilli corned beef incorporated into a hash. There was a tin of original but it had puffed up like a cane toad so declined to sample that one. Kids enjoyed it until I informed them that it was made from lips and arseholes. I'll trundle out the tin of lamb tongues at a later date. ;-)
