I think after 4 months seeing this video pop up but not seeing a tank you from her personally is very sad … she knows what YT is about and if someone makes a video on your product you at least thank them.

No disrespect to Marie but she has so much in her stash hat she probably just went through her craft room and put together these journal items. Probably why most is from dollar tree.

OMG WHAT????? I Ilke watching Marie on KZread, but this junk journal side hustle seems like a rip off. Like others said it looks like a bunch of dollar tree stuff being put together and using a composition book for the journal, not very artsy. I also agree that She never showed any junk journal that she has created. It appears that Marie has become a good salesperson. Hey I go to dollar tree, I think I'll start a similar business..

Well she guarantees 60+ items and mailing out journals with all the items is expensive, you don't have to buy them if you don't like them, btw she did show how she started her personal journal in one of her vids and recommended channels for junk journaling

I just subscribed today! Great video! 👍🥰 I saw your comment on Marie’s channel that you had purchased a kit and I really wanted to see what was in one. If you want to use the composition book for your junk journal I suggest removing some pages. I did one and it bulks up pretty fast. If you removed every 4th page that may help. I also covered each page with card stock to reinforce it. Since then I have made junk journals from Little Golden Books and even from cereal boxes. It is so much fun! I am excited to watch your other craft videos. 😊

So kind of u to show this.. but honestly I don't see the purpose.. and why u can't get what u want instead of someone throwing a bunch of dollar store items that anyone can get.. and honestly if u purchase the items u get more for your money instead of a few items out of a full pack when u can create more different journals with the left over.. really makes no sense.. but thank u only my opinion.. heck u can use the rear of items u have left to use get your money's worth not ripped out pages.. honestly not worth it...

Before you buy a kit, please go on KZread and see what real junk journaling is about. Save your money. You probably already have a lot of things on hand that you can start with. Go watch Natasa at Treasure Books and Pam at Paper Outpost. Their styles are very different, but I love them both. Natasa is my favorite.

I made a about 5 junk journals out of pre-made books and notebooks before I felt comfortable making my own. There is NO LAW about junk journaling. It's for whatever you want to make out of one. You probably already have a lot of stuff at home to make a real junk journal. Don’t waste your money on the summer kit.

I am sure you will find great inspiration. Also, try places like Goodwill or Salvation Army for old books, ledgers, envelopes, etc. Have fun!

@@DiValenz145 I totally agree with you. If you look through your house you will find authentic "junk" rather than resold stuff from Dollar Tree. And if you like the Dollar Tree things, take the 20 dollars plus shipping and go to Dollar Tree yourself and you can buy full packs of the stuff she sent you and have enough for many journals. I look forward to seeing you craft on your channel.

The packaging was cute and the personal note was thoughtful. Not bad for $20 when you factor in cost of packaging etc. It's a fair price. It's a brilliant idea by Marie. She's a single mom who works hard. I love her channel and have followed her for many years. Thanks for sharing!!

Check out Jessica @ Paper Terrace and she has a couple of Dollar Tree junk journal videos. I even participated in a DT JJ challenge. Most of the stuff I have bought for junk journaling came from DT. Has anyone heard of one man's junk is another man's treasure? Think of it that way.

I love watching Crafty Girl, and I have lots of things to junk journal and journal with, but some people dont. And some people just like supporting someone they watch. Personally, I don't need one but maybe I would buy one just as an offer of support. Whatever, she seems happy with her package so maybe we shouldn't rain on her parade.

The Dollar Tree even sells a pack of different size and color papers for 1.25. Bunch of junk you have around the house

As far as I know Marie has never made a junk journal, I think if she would have made one using those items, it would have been proof you can do it, what Im thinking is you have to add a bunch more items of your own to complete a decent journal..... I;m not being negative, just saying show us some completed junk journals before selling kits... I think in most cases People get caught up in the youtube celeb thing and grab everything they market... just saying...

Hi. for 20.00 you got a great buy. Marie loves her dollar tree's. If you bought all that stuff yourself ...you would have so much of one kind of item (embleshiments) and it would take forever for you to use up those supplies to make it worth your money if you bought it. That would make every junk journal look the same. I love having a few pieces of this and that to use. Can't wait to see what you make. A kit is to receive a little of this and little of that. This is not a bad idea, to be honest. I have scrapbooking supplies from years ago that I cannot use any more due to vision trouble, and I didn't know what to do with all of them. I might look into selling junk journal kits!

The stickers, stamps, bags, and envelopes are all from the dollar tree. I'd say add it sll up to see if it was worth it or not but remember "worth" is different for everybody

I would like a real review of how much you spent and how many items you received from the junk journal kit you are showing here. Click on other junk journal kits from real crafters and compare the creativity and time put into each one. Maybe then you would realize that you would of been able to just go to Dollar tree yourself and still get more bang for your buck.

@@craftycorner5699 yes some do, nothing wrong with using “dollar tree” merchandise. When everything is from dollar tree it makes it very common. Most junk journal kits are from different brands, books they collected from thrift stores, and things they ordered that we know they personalized by altering the color or making it antique looking. It makes it more unique. I watch a lot of junk journal channels and Craft Girl is the most basic. She uses templates from journals, colors them and add stickers to them. That’s pretty much all I see. 99% of her videos are Vlogs and shopping hauls to Dollar Tree and Walmart.

What a joke. There are legitimate women who do amazing junk journaling on Instagram and UTube. This gathering of items side hustle and passing off as junk journaling is ridiculous. Where’s her junk journals ? Have you ever seen her completed journal. I call BS. This was a way for her to dispose of all her crap under the disguise of a junk journal and cash in.

It is a junk journal starter kit. The items that Crafty Corner received were a lot of new items that Marie just hauled recently. Plus some of the stickers were from Amazon. And who cares!! Just don't buy one from her if you don't like her kits. It's that simple. We have enough hate and problems in this world than to worry about Crafty Girl's starter kits cost and what is in her kits.

Don't waste your money ordering. You can get this stuff at DT, thrift stores and garage sales and many other places. Her kits are a joke!
