That Ozzie was such a beautiful card. Congrats on that pull.
There were single packs in this break that had more quality cards than the other entire box combined. Amazing.
NOW THESE ARE THE BOX OPENINGS I LOVE!!! 70’s and 80’s!!!
Congrats! Glad it went well this time around, had a great time watching the break.
After tonight’s break I am determined to buy my first pack of baseball cards tomorrow since my Sophomore year of high school in 1991! Greet video! Keep up the great content!
I’ve never seen the Ozzie RC in that condition. Awesome.
Youre a very generous person for doing what you did for those people. Well done!! Thats a 10 for sure!!!
So happy you were able to rebound from the previous one. Amazing break!
Just found this channel today and started watching never thought I would enjoy watching someone open packs of baseball cards I know I’m getting old now lol
I LOVE the older cards! Thank you for all you do, Sir😊
So awesome Erik. So happy you pulled the Ozzie. You're the best for doing this for us.
Great video!! Love these cards!! Great for what you done!! Thanks for sharing!! God Bless!!
Fun to see a nice mix of hall of fame players and stars from 1979. Looking forward to future throwback openings!
That’s awesome for whoever got that card. Fricken awesome!!
You can't ask for a better Ozzie! WOW! B.e.a.utiful. Congrats to the new owner and thanks Jabs and BBCE!
You’re a good man Jabs. I love how you take care of your viewers and patrons. It’s good to know there are successful people who aren’t worried about their bottom line and care about those that care about others.
I'm glad that people donate during the breaks, but stopping every five seconds to shout out another channel that I dont care about is annoying. Please find a new way to handle this. Perhaps after the break giving everyone a shoutout at once?

I completely agree
I missed the live presentation but watched it after. What a great box! That's what a Topps box from old should be. Congrats on the Ozzie RC. Gotta be at least a 10 or 9.5. The centering and overall condition was really good! Wow, the memories of my youth opening Topps came flooding back over me. I grew up with these players. Thanks for the awesome blast from the past, so cool!
Congrats guys what a hit can’t wait to hear when it comes back as psa 10 thank you for all you do.
Holy crap that really took me back to my 12 year old self recognizing all those photos and names. So cool.
Johnny Bench Jim Rice and Jim Palmer- pretty good succession. Very nice of you Jana to do this!
...Was really wanting to catch this vid live but already done by the time I got in last night. Loved watching this box opening and congratulations to Jarrod on that beautiful Ozzie. I would grade that and keep it in my PC. Great video Erik!!
Commenting so I can find for later view, but LOVE this guy's enthusiasm and knowledge, even making it interactive by selling them like a raffle for fun. Thanks!
Good luck on ozzie.! definetly looks like a 10 to me. Congrats man!
I wish Ozzie Smith could somehow watch this video. He would be very honored and humbled. As a St. Louisan and Cardinals fan I can tell you he is a true class act of a player and man. I was able to go to his retirement game as a kid. I just picked up an Ozzie Smith Immaculate auto 15/15 about a month ago. It is the center piece of my collection right now as I just dipped my toes back into the hobby. I loved watching this. Watch Ozzie Smith's Cooperstown induction speech. You'll love it. His speech is very unique as you will see. One more thing worth mentioning. You pulled two Al Hrabosky cards "The Mad Hungarian" in this break and didn't have anything to say about him. He also played for the Cardinals and has been an announcer and very involved with the Cardinals clubhouse for many years. He has gotten a little beer buzzed at times announcing games and is fun to listen to. Just thought I'd fill you in on some obscure baseball trivia. Have a great day. Until the next box break!
Thanks for sharing Erik.👍👍👍👍. This video brought me back to those awesome days of summer in the latter 70's. I remember buying these packs from a mom and pop mini grocery store right around the corner from my house... Funny thing is these packs were to expensive for me to buy then and obviously now. I only received a 2.00 dollar allowance back in 1979 and I had to make it last. I usually bought a couple of cellos and a couple of packs each week or until the box ran out, there was alot of competition for those packs from other guys in the neighborhood and when the store sold out that was pretty much that until football season. Ty for bringing back those great memories and just imagine 7.20 for a full wax box... ahhh those were the days....
Great 79 show! I ripped 1 pack for my show and pulled a Winfield, Rose, Molitor, and Seaver in the same pack. Best pack rip I've ever had.
Just bought my first pack in about 20 years a couple of weeks ago, brought back a lot of memories. I really enjoy watching your videos.
I know I was late for this, but man did I enjoy watching
Missed the live break. Great box!! So many great cards.
The second box is a charm. That's a nice looking card. Centered all around. Great find. Hopefully PSA grades it a TEN.😃
Love the Ozzie smith rookie that you found
Met Mark Fydrich in 1994 was so nice talked to me for at least a half hour. Answered all my questions. I was a 14yo kid but i felt like Bob Eucher for that time. Awesome memory what a guy!
Great story about a Ozzie card I had “back in the day”. Ozzie played amateur baseball in my childhood hometown of Clarinda Iowa. He would always return for a yearly banquet in the 80s. One year I had him sign a rookie card for me. He looked at it saying he would make an exception and autograph a card from his Padres era. I guess he will not typically sign Padres Era memorabilia. It was a nice card, not a 10 though. That Ozzie is certainly close to a 10...great pull!
So glad Jarrod got the ozzie Smith. Good luck
No Pete Rose darn it . That card is a beast in psa 10 Great Ozzie. Don’t let all the grader haters down you
Fun break. Thanks for all the info.
Beautiful Ozzie!!!
Wow after seeing all the hype, I had 10 of these cards back in 1990. WTH? Life can be a real kick in the head.
Hack Wilson had 190 but a couple of decades ago it was discovered there was a clerical error and he actually had 191 RBI
@sciencereactions8221
2 жыл бұрын
Also, those RBI’s came in a 154 game season.
So, because I'm kinda crazy, I decided to check these cards. ALL the cards are from sheets A, B, and C. This could have been another tragedy if this box contained cards from D, E, or F only. 1979 was the year topps overproduced cards
catching this after the fact and have been loving your videos...actually got me back into collecting! From Pittsburgh also, so keep showing off those Bucco cards when they show up!
That Bump Wills Rangers cards is interesting. It was actually more valuable than the bump wills blue jays error card when I was collecting in the 80s. Apparently the rangers version was more rare back in the day but I’m pretty sure they both sell for about the same now. Enjoyed the video. 1979 was the first year I started buying packs. I’m pretty sure that Jackson was a double print. I’ve got a ton of them.
Terrific box!! The folks at the exchange certainly rectified the previous box...
WOW! That is a nice Ozzie, glad i grew up in St.Louis in the 80s and 90s and got to see Ozzie play quite a few times I remember when he got mad he would throw his hat, however my favorite ozzie card is the 85' topps.
I collected cards from that time so much that I recognized every card he went thru and haven't looked at cards in over 35 years. Scary how addicted us little boys were to this once booming industry.

Mid 2000's I bought an 80s pack of cards and without thinking ate the gum, it wasn't great. Love the video
Great video and great second time around break.
This video is gonna make me go searching for a Ozzie Smith care in my old collection

I have a PSA 10 graded Harry Skrotum. It even had gum residue before I mailed it to PSA.
In 59 I was 11 and Dad got me a box of baseball for Xmas , wouldn't let me open it said the owner of the store was going to throw it away cuz football was in and no one wanted BB forgot about it went in the service in 65 & when Dad passed in 2012 Mom found it in their cedar locker , see my Dad Everytime I look at it , great memories
Nice Ozzie, Looks like a solid 9 IMO. Great box all around, Lots of those HOFers would grade high.
Does bring back memories from 58 of taking pop bottles to the liquor store and trading them in for all the cello or wax I could get them sitting on the curb and opening them up keeping all the dodgers & throwing the rest away
That is a gorgeous card. Nice pull.
the Ozzie Smith trade from the Padres broke my heart as a kid. But it did give him the chance to win. I had at least 2-3 of his rookie cards cannot imagine what has befallen them since then

As a native San Diegan I know there wasn't much time to dwell on that trade. Many more heart breaking trades followed

It was cool you found the Ozzy that's what we were looking for
My birth year love to have a box. Very nice Ozzie.
Exciting! Good video.
Nice Break Watched On TV Today
Sweet and awesome baseball cards
Only one word for the Ozzie.... WOW..... 🔥 🔥 🎆 🎆 🎆. It should grade out at least a 9.5 Beautiful card......
Still don't know how baseball works with the rares but so few of the players I loved back then.
had to see this one!😀👍
Glad this box was much better.
I opened so many packs in the 80's that I'm pretty sure that I can tell you what an 85 Topps Dwight Gooden card smells like 😁
The Ozzie looks awesome! Never perfect centering... slightly to the bottom but, a beautiful card. Lucky pull!
35:30 1st Ozzie
I taught Dave Parker's kids He was always nice to me.
8 off center top to bottom and right to left, such a cool card to hit!
That Ozzie Smith was flawless
great vid
Great video
This video was only 49 seconds longer than the first one ! Talk about consistency..... ! The Ozzie Smith made the entire box, a Ryan would have been nice, but still got a few other small gems in terms of 2nd year cards and others.
Eric you’re stand up dude. You didn’t have to do this. People would whine and complain and say the box was searched even if box 1 wasn’t a sheet c box. Make sure dude stays in touch so we know how it grades out.
If that was hockey!!! Lol
The sheet that Ozzie is on has two rows that are identical, including Reggie, Bench, and Garry Maddox, which may be why Reggie (and others) came up more often.
Unreal!!!!!
This box definitely didn't disappoint
Glad to hear the mulligan went very well!
What's up ERIC I'm already subbed in through Chucks Cards, so I figured I would sub again. Love the channel and love buying cards even though it's been a year since I bought anything .
Loved your 1979 Topps follow up break. You're truly a class act Erik Jabs. I can't think of many people that would go out of their way to make up for the 1st dud box. Lord bless and keep you, your brother Jon Jabs and your family.
Nice centering? Many cards off centered! Roy Smalley of the Twins, I met as a kid in the. parking. lot after. a game. Super friendly.
Would love to know what that Ozzie scored, it was a gorgeous card.
It was really great seeing these old cards. Bonus that you pulled the Ozzie.
Its 11:30 and I just got home from work, Missed the live break but Ill watch the replay.

Luv your videos man! The hobby needs more passionate collectors. It’s not all about the big hits.
A couple packs in and the centering is much better. Crap you JUST SAID this as I'm typing. Haha. MUCH more fun this time around
Oh baby the remix
I remember I was distraught when Topps went up a nickel the following year to a Quarter 🥺
Erik! Come on... You never heard of pat Zachary? 75,76 Big Red Machine! Pitcher. I know it rings a bell now. Thanks for the great videos Jabs Family!
Nice pull

That's it??? It looks to be in a lot better condition than the 9's on PSA's page.
Jabs, it's been 2 years - what's the update on that Ozzie PSA grade? Great pull!
I still have not gotten my cards from this break. Felling like you have kept them for yourself.
That ozzie i bet was a 7 or 8. Compared it to centering of a 9 on PSA and its not as good
