​@BlazingOwnager coding is never the issue with AI, because the code can be written by anyone with a decent level of understanding of a programming language. Instead, the issue is the idea and mathematical modeling to make it work which AI still struggles with. Then there is also the processing power, manpower, and other costs, and investors are covering that front since AI has so much hype. So yeah, ChatGPT can't make innovative AI models yet. It can only copy and rewrite what's already out there.

How is that weird? We already have animes and cartoons, and none of those characters are real either. Yet we can be moved by and connect emotionally with them just as well. You might say that its different because humans made those stories, but we also made the AI that made this. The difference this time is that there is an extra step in between us the creator and the finished product.

I keep thinking that this was how people felt being at the cinema for the first time. Many people were so scared that they left. The screen was so big, the audio, the vividness of the images... We are just seeing a change and many comments at the same time in front of our eyes.

2:53 has to be the most surreal, she has her right arm under the pillow, her left hand by her side, then moves her arm under the covers which looks like a stump. its weird to think that maybe the ai tried to make a cover fall over but animated it with the physics of a human limb, but its so advanced that it fails perfectly.

Im actually scared of how real this looks, the bad thing is, people can edit photos or videos of you that dont even exist, artists can get their art robbed or they can create AI art without having to work.

The composition of the video is similar to a KZread video. In particular, the overseas background has a very similar composition to KZread tourism promotion videos, but it feels more like it was created by synthesis rather than AI creation. I'm curious what sources it was created by crawling. I think the 6:15 robot video is the most similar in quality to the existing text to video video. And the video of someone lifting a chair in the desert is very similar to the cam video of ordinary people. The technology is so great that it would be very easy to replace advertising videos or banner-type animations.

AI does the same thing as you or me. Look at millions of examples and capture their patterns, their concept as a thing. You can then combine those patterns into anything you want, just like you can draw a green dog because you know what shapes make a dog a dog and what that color is. Not by taking a reference photo. Thats a really inefficient way of work at scale.

Right around the corner

Imagine when it realizes the quickest way to expand its neural network is to interface with human brains. It's much easier than gathering all the raw materials needed build the infrastructure they require. That's probably why there's such a big push on wearables that interact with the brain directly. Once it's able to learn us from within there are no more barriers. I get to live out my matrix fantasy.

Just because something is viewable to the public doesn’t mean they can take it. A public facing page is necessary for many designers to get work/ reach an audience. “Girls should just cover up! @@buttor5916 The media hasn't been verifiable since 2010; no one is forcing you to sell your Artistic talents as many artists in the past have made art for the sake of it. Regardless artists did this to themselves; feel free to look at the devaulation being caused by fiverr prior to AI generated art and tell me that is anything different.

@@GrimHeaperThe So you’re saying that this technology is beneficial because… it’ll drive us away from using technology? I mean I certainly hope that a bit of a drive to disconnect comes out of this mess-but that kind of shows how ML image generation is creating more issues than its solving. And unfortunately it’s a bit of an optimistic take. Algorithms on social media are crafted to train our brains to need them. It’s hard to break away from, and as the amount of people willing to jump on the AI Art bandwagon shows, people will take convenience over genuine experiences.

This is pretty cool, can't wait to use this technology for my coffee shop business

@@A_Planner_and_a_Dreamer unfortunately that how life works, nothing is forever. Robots are staring to replac drivers, restaurant workers, doctors. My coffee shop is not forever, some big technology 10 years from now,might come and put me out of business, but that's why I don't put all my eggs in one basket. We need to learn how to adapt, becuse complaining won't help feed our families.

Imagine you can make a perfect movie without anything in one minute. You just type your imagination for your taste and it's done instantly, you dont need actors, scripts, cameras or anything. Movie industry will be extinct bro it's sad, but at the same time it's amazing.

Change is coming whether people like it or not. This is definitely the future. People need to incorporate and expose themselves to this feature to sustain better in the creative industry. I knew AI growth is going fast. That's why I still couldn't believe people are doubting what AI is capable of.

AI Image/Text Generation has scaled quickly by digesting massive amounts of data that was essentially stolen, or used under the guise of being "nonprofit research" despite OpenAI now making millions. This technology needs to be swiftly regulated, both for the right citizens should have to data privacy and for the massive risk for misinformation/fraud.

It won't be long until history can be fully rewritten, painted over, re-vocalized or altered in any way the people wishes to remember it. It will in some ways appear more true than anything else. It will eventually be difficult to tell if this technology always existed or when it started, or if that question even matters.

Maybe an unpopular opinion but knowing technology has come this far makes me optimistic.

Finally, we won't have to rely on Disney to see new crappy movies about our lifetime favorite heroes! Everyone will be able to do it by themselves

@@carloorelli3538 GAIs, especially in this level, will be strictly controlled by the company itself or even government with ban, filters, datasets, etc. There is a lot of issues if just giving it away for anyone to play, it's not a harmless playground, so don't expect this to be soon open-sourced.

AI was supposed to do the mundane to free humans to do the profound. It wasnt supposed to make art. That's what makes us human, our ability to create art.

Currently we are only seeing the OpenAI watermark in the bottom right of the image (shown in the video). It's unclear if there are other metadata related information in the video. I'll be looking into this further.
