@@mazda2284try this, take a regular f150 rated to tow 13500 pounds, find you a double axle car trailer put a raptor on it and tow it at highway speed, and than tow that same trailer with the regular f150 on it with the raptor on the same highway at the same speed then come back and tell me how it did. One of the pullers you will see in a video coming out real soon said he was blown away how well received these videos are. He shook my hand like 5 times. I told him, "Sterling, you guys are the talent. I am just a guy with a camera." White Raptor was a V6 twin turbo. The red one was a slightly older 6.2 V8 model. Both did pretty good in my opinion.

The sled weighs 32,000 empty and each weight block weighs 2,000. There are 4 blocks in the weigh box for a 40,000 pound total. It starts off as rolling weight and becomes drag weight around the 200 foot mark. There are also grouser bars underneath the pan, the flat part of the sled. The grousers dog into the dirt. Towards the end of the track it feels like they are pulling roughly double the weight.

Those raptors looking a little cross eyed, you can bet they ain’t gonna drive straight when going home

Walt you are correct. I had a 14 Titan. They are bad as. If he had been in low rang like the others it would have been a different story. I used mine to pull a 7000 lb. Trailer ever day. It had more than enough power. The truck it self wasn't big enough. It could pull the weight all day, but in turns the trailer would push me some. Had to go back to a 3/4 ton.

Horse Pulling started in the early to mid-1900s. Pull the furthest you possibly can. Techniques are slow and steady to not break traction or strong and build up momentum to help drag the via kinetic energy. In these competitions, people can bring their regular everyday trucks approved for driving on roads and highways to pull the mechanical sled. The sled weighs at a base of 32,000LB. If you watch the video and see the weight box come up, you will see the blocks in the box. The blocks weigh roughly 2,000 pounds each. The weight box can be sent up the rails of the sled at various speeds for different classes. There is a point usually about 200 foot where the box triggers a trip switch. That switch pushes the rear end of the sled up in the air. At this point, all the weight is pure drag weight. The coefficient of friction suggests that it doubles that amount in total. So (32,000 + 8,000(2,000x4 blocks))*2. So the sled toward the end of the track feels like 84,000 pounds. If you notice at 3:39 in the video, the box tops out at the rails at 300 feet. In more powerful classes like the 7800 Light Pro Stock video (kzread.info/dash/bejne/i6iBxtKLkdSZmto.html) you will see 4 blocks and the weight box top out at the 250-foot mark. Winners can get $150 for a street class. And up to $400 for a more powerful class. More powerful classes run for points at the end of the year in the hopes of being the champion for the season and a big chunk of the fees paid in by all the pullers in that class throughout the year.

The raptor guys got to learn to shift those automatics, I did this with my stock 5.0l and you can't stall out the tires 1st gear. It looks like they manually go into 2nd or 3rd and just hold it there till it stalls out. Mine is the six speed, which I know the red one is and it has the 6.2l so it should be doing better than my truck.

The Mustang sound is iconic, yes we get that. But Ford could take the same stance on all over lines to ensure a similar sound! There are so many engineers that they can make virtually any remember-able sound note possible. I wanted to put a Borla/Bassani exhaust on my Contour SVT for years. Never did it. But it was plenty different sounding already. The iconic sleeper from Ford. Corvettes, GTIs, BMW 3 Series, Mustangs, I smoked them all in that thing. 295 at the wheels baby!

These are not Velociraptors with 700HP. Just the entry-level Raptors rocking 400HP. Also, this was the third or fourth time the Orange one hooked up to to the sled. I have never seen the white one hook to the sled before. And keep in mind, its just a stock class. Talked to these guys after the pull and we super happy we were they to cover them. They were also the title sponsor for this pull and the Monster Truck! They HUSTLE so pullers have a place to HOOK! And we are all about that.
