They're all so good at this point... I don't understand where the competition is? It's pointless to compete at this level.. everyone is too good

that just means you're not qualified to be a judge Lol. There are levels to every sport/art form, and when you get to the highest levels-particularly in the activities that rely on judging instead of objective point counting-it requires experts to even notice the differences. p.s. I'm not qualified either, can only say that I especially liked the second pair from South Africa.

There are technical aspects of this competition that we dont know. After all it's sports. I mean if you have keen eyes I could definitely say the 2nd pair is better than the first?

Pro-ballroom dancer here! Each competition has its own "flavor" as far as what the judges want to see. If you notice when the couples walk on to the floor they want to choose a good open central space where they will get noticed the most by the judges who will be looking from couple to couple. If you perform a flawless move that captures the judges at the right time they will mark you higher. Even if a different couple is just as good if the judges don't notice the good stuff during your dance you wont be marked as high. Also if you make a mistake and a judge happens to see it.....yikes. The best example of what comp ballroom dance is a couple like Yulia and Riccardo. Technically flawless, creative and they can capture the heart and soul of each dance and make you really feel their energy. There are very strong dancers out there that just dont hit you with that WOW factor every time. Competing was the reason I pushed myself to get better. I only competed against myself though. As long as I was better than I was last year, I felt accomplished.

Am I the only person who watches and imagine that I have to learn these routines for a competition?! I can’t be!😂😂😂

@@globalcoupledances That hasn‘t been my experience. Everything has to be rehearsed, especially what is danced with the partner. Yes, being able to lead/follow can help shorten the amount of time, but you still got to practice. And it‘s not like you wake up one day and know how to dance a certain figure.

From the moment she walked on the stage, even before she came down the stairs, she exuded confidence and sass. She carried that all the way through the dance. And when the dance was done, she nodded her head as if to dismiss her partner , and move on to the thing to do. Go girl!

The last one really done it!! I love the way they made appearance, and the dress choices... Wow *claps hand

My ankles are rolling, my knees are cracking and my calves cramping up just by looking at them dancing. 🤣👏👏👏

That's because their steps on tip toe,seldom you will see a ballroom dancer with solid foot step on the ground.

Dear this is show dance, not your local ballroom.

The athleticism of these couples is amazing and only eclipsed by their skills.

How one dances in those shoes is astonishing. You can't put on weight with such energy&exercise even if you wanted to.Respect totally. They look also beautiful&graceful. I respect the hardwork too.

Yep, I am not at the level that these dancers are but I dance Latin and European dances. My shoes are not so high ofcourse but I can lose my balance rll easily.

I love that they have someone lend a hand to the woman walking down the stairs in heels. Seriously, I do. It's so polite, and then she just eviscerates everyone on those same heels.

Years of practice and yet they make it look so easy. Amazing dancers!

2nd pair from South Africa is amazing and my total favorite.

Loved the last pair! The dress that she wore looked like it was made from the start night sky and her partner looks like a funny guy.

It's my dream to dance so good! Love all the dances! 🌸

Hours and hours of practice and I sure some injuries and all of these couples were flawless...truly appreciate watching them.

I'm worry if I attempted to do this dance, I would end up in hospital😂 they're talented people

the footwork at 4:25 is insaneee 😮 like how is she moving with such precision

My favorite was the Samba, both parties popped and I loved how they moved together like one dancer.

All of these dancers have technical expertise. The key to being a crowd pleaser is to connect with your partner and the audience! That’s when the magic happens!

Last couple was excellent and classy.

The first guy didn’t even look at his partner while dancing. Smooth flow but so much for partner dancing. The third couple had excellent inward projection with one another.

I can't even walk in heels and thes girls are dancing😭.. but it's so beautiful and graceful ❤️

With these moves I'd dare to learn how to dance, they"re amazing!...

The last two couples, numbers 6 and 7 were top tier, they killed it, from skill to following the rhythm to putting the best performs out there within just 60 seconds or less, they were the best, most skilled. I am a dancer myself and I think I could easily be the judge on these competitions, people in comments saying why is there competitions when they are all too good, it’s not just about being good but about choice of dance, choice of outfits, music and doing the most and best in seconds. I also think the 5th couple the red dress and black suit guy had a lot of potential but their dance was slow and boring, like their choreography was bad, they had to stop the slow pauses in their performance and there was a lot of it which slowed them down and they were so good being close together but they spend half their time being apart and that was a mistake too, but just looking at their moves and skills, I could tell they could’ve been as good as the last two couple if they had better choreography.

That 2nd couple for Samba was just great!

All did an amazing job but 207 was for me.

The second couple… just wow!! They were literally one.
