I love your wisdom, you know as well as I do, at this point of time not many Kenyans love Ruto & given second chance Kenyans cannot vote for him. Let him just leave power peacefully to avoid embarrassment of being removed forcefully by military. It may not make sense, but that is where the county is headed to.

Professor, you’re are right even when you say that people love Ruto. However, he must drop the clever campaign language. Running the country is different from campaigning. People don’t want the lies of police independence when we know he’s the commander in chief and head of national security council. We don’t want to hear of independence of parliament when his MPs wouldn’t dare act against his wishes. When they defeat impeachment motion, he’s responsible. We don’t want our money consumed by useless task force. Heads must roll, even good ones can be 21:48 collateral damage. Government needs to be reconstituted and have the face of Kenya. Like Gen Z, the government must be tribeless and partyless. A government of patriot that can fight corruption everywhere. We want a justice system that works

Prof - Thank you Prof from this message from your heart, voice of reason. You are expressing thoughts of many exactly. Your Truth coupled with your simplicity are the true marks of a LEADER with positive influence on a people. The only serious concern and danger is if this message is falling on narcissistic ears/regime - where being delusional, the voice of reason from wise counsel is a seen as a sign weakness and loss of power , therefore leading the country into a continuous path of self-destruction, marked by worse decisions, is perceived as the only way to maintain power.

This is one of most candid advise the President can receive. If refuse to do the necessary on time to do it later when damage is done, it have no effect. I hope he can listen.

I thought we were done with the setting up of stupid commissions and task forces to sit for years, recommend changes that were never implemented? Kenyans want radical changes because they know that the government is rotten. Seek a fresh mandate or reconstitute the whole government Mr Ruto.

I so hoped (was almost so sure) our president was going to dissolve cabinet, and that would pave way for parliament's dissolution, among other necessary changes that would take shape shortly thereafter (organically). The people would have no choice but to rally behind their president in remodeling the new country. In this arrangement he would receive clemency without even asking for it. It would give him time to proof his authenticity once again to the Kenyan people - an assignment, as Prof rightly says, is now almost impossible to accomplish. TIME IS RUNNING OUT! We know they helped you. We know you've done things down from the darkness of hell. But for the sake of our country, and for their own sake, PLEASE, let them GO! Let them GO HOME, or they will go abroad empty-handed. The clock is still ticking.

I have replayed the clip a couple of times and have made a conclusion that this piece is simple,well balanced, candid, honest, respectful, insightful, optimistic and wise. The question now begs , who are our political leaders or what are they made of??. I think every leader including those who will be freshly aspiring should archive this golden piece.

On the contrary, he swore an oath to the Kenyan people to do all that is mandated in our constitution to prosper our people - the people of Kenya and only the people of Kenya. Since his regime began;- we have witnessed the looting of government funds on an unprecedented level -you can read it on the auditor general's report if you wish; Our police have been deployed to the Caribbean and; he has subverted the office of the presidency to fulfill a delusional, childish and politically dangerous ambition to be the darling of NATO at our geopolitical and economic cost. We do not owe persons in the name of public officials any loyalty and least of all obedience. Any public servant who acts insubordinate to the social contract i.e. the laws outlined within the constitution of the Republic of Kenya should be legally indicted after summary dismissal through whatever means provided by law. We are neither subordinates to the regime nor are we their parents or their spouses because the guardians of power are we the Kenyan people. As a public collective, we do not owe thanks, respects or concessions to the private personhood of any government official occupying public offices.

Well articulated! Great pieces of advice. I wish these pieces of advice could be heeded before where we’re now. Ruto’s mastery and political acumen is in ruling the semiliterate and illiterate Kenya citizenry which left out the educated, hawkish and exposed Millennials/Gen-Z majority unattended. It’s the time-bomb revolutionary outfit haunting Ruto now. Ruto has no idea on how to conform to this political dispensation.
