5:41 is a big reason why D Fish is one of my all time favorite supporting players. He fully respects and doesn’t underrate that 04 pistons team. He knows they were the better team. More talented, no. But a better team, yes. Most fans and almost all of the nba world call it a fluke and say the pistons weren’t as good as people thought and they shouldn’t have made it that far. Yet they were in the playoffs every season from 2001-08 reaching the conference finals 6 times finals twice and winning it all once. Against very good competition either in the finals (Lakers/Spurs) or their conference. Indy, nets and Celtics here and there and a young and hungry Lebron with the cavs near their later runs. The pistons made the climb one the championship and continued to play at that level with essentially the same group until injuries and retirement forced a rebuild. But that’s 8 solid years of playoff success

In 1991, KENNY Smith scored efficient as you know who? MICHAEL JORDAN. In 1992, KENNY was shooting %44 from 3 pt range. IN 1992. Kenny made Hakeem great, passing doubles. Hakeem's weakness was solved. In 1993 playoffs, Kenny was making %50 FROM 3 PT LINE. %50. In West finals, he was best player and forced game 7 with 30 points with 13of16 shooting Kenny also send BARKLEY home in 1994 West Finals, Thats why SHAQ & Chuck also talk shit. They are MAD. In Finals, when it came to Game 7 between Knicks and Houston, he played best game of the series in 1994. In 1995, when they were about to lose in 1st round. Kenny SHOOT %63 FROM 3 PT LINE. When Nick anderson missed FTS. It was Kenny in who hit 3 to send it to OVERTIME and beat Shaq's ASS. Kenny Smith shot 7 3-pointers in game 1 of the 1995 Finals, which was an NBA record at the time. Record stood for 15 years.

I lived through the 80s era and beyond, but memories can fade and adjust over time. I also looked at the numbers. Honestly I think Charles played with some mediocre and sub par Sixer teams after the legends retired, and he still put the fear of God into you. Also that Phoenix team played the Bulls tough after the first two games. Chuck’s efficiency too with high volume scoring is crazy. I’d have to pick Charles No.1 and Karl Malone No. 2. Of course now with the three point game being preeminent everything has changed.

Its more of a joke regarding the sacrifice. Malone legit sacrified his game by going to the Lakers. People said KD sacrified his stats by going to the warriors. It's not really in terms of team hopping

Assuming that Elgin Baylor is not eligible for the conversation and for the most part we only know star players from championship teams in that era. We are forced to pick players from a smaller pool. My team would be. Ewing, Barkley, Wilkins, Iverson, Stockton. Would be interesting to know what the guys thought if the question was more catered toward guys that got injured. Hardaway, McGrady, Hill, Sampson, Daugherty.
