Opel Vauxhall Grand Sport Brake Pads Replacement DIY Electric Parking Brake System EPB

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

In this episode, we will show you how to change the brake pads on a 2018 Opel Insignia Grad Sport, equipped with Electric parking brakes.
The operation is identical to that performed when changing the brake pads on a VW Passat CC, except that then ,we also presented the option with a diagnostic tool. I have added that tutorial’s link in the description.
Actually the electric motor on this Opel is the same as the one on the Passat CC .
You don't have to worry about manually retracting the adjusting bolt, as it will automatically recalibrate upon the first activation of the parking brake.

There is "EPB service mod" for retracting rear calipers and pads. Also it's not good idea to put regular grease on breake parts. There is special coper grease for touch parts(rear of pads, metal pad holder...) to remove noise and silicone grease for moving parts (two bolt holding caliper). Keep up the good work!

Nu inteleg de ce nimeni nu livreaza placutele de frana cu tablitele alea, pt ca nu gasesc nicaieri sa cumpar. Daca nu le pastrezi pe alea originale, o sa auzi mereu un scartait la franare la viteze mici. Multumesc pt informatii !

Yes, you do. However, another viewer left a comment saying you can place the car in brake pads replacement mode without a diagnostic tool. I haven t checked this info yet. When we made this tutorial there was nothing online. Now I bought a multi brand diagnostic tool so it' s much faster.

Thank you, I have just ordered my rear discs and pads. I was searching for tutorial and i have found your video. I just wanted to say that I guess you can put it on service mode therefore no need to remove the motor from the caliper?? I heard that there is a procedure like this: ignition on Firmly depress and release brake pedal 5 times depress and hold brake pedal Press and hold EBP switch till EBP malfunction light flashes on dashboard release EBP switch press and hold EBP switch for 5 seconds release brake pedal EBP malfunction light goes out briefly Now you are set >To take it out of service mode Switch ignition on depress and hold brake pedal pull and hold EBP switch till EBP malfunction light goes out on dashboard release brake pedal switch ignition off ! Somebody has explained it here: kzread.info/dash/bejne/i3as18l-maTZlqg.htmlsi=3J2gcvDJ64NomI4a
