Today, I’m going to tell you the story of Opel Calibra which was produced by German manufacturer Opel between 1989 and 1997 (also known as Vauxhall Calibra in the UK, Chevrolet Calibra in South America, and Holden Calibra in Australia and New Zealand).
In Germany and some countries of Central and Eastern Europe Opel Calibra had a good but rather funny reputation as a “poor-man's Ferrari”.
Most of the owners of Calibra loved it and told that the handling of the car was really great. The steering was easy and predictable, the acceleration was breathtaking, and the overall impression of driving was very enjoyable.
This was a car of emotion and temper. A car you should be on the one tune with. If you were in the mood for reasonably active driving, the Calibra was ready to give you the emotions you expected. And these emotions were pure, energetic, and amusing.
