Hi, you inspired me to buy the same radio. Thank you very much. The seller is really kind and professional. I plan to install the radio tomorrow but I'm afraid a bit. Of course, your video is a perfect manual and I hope there will be no complications. But, I have several questions and sorry that I'm bothering you with them. So, if you have time for answers I would appreciate it. 1. Alarm in the car - should I disconnect it somehow or I shouldn't care about the alarm because it isn't connected together (alarm is the genuine one from Opel 2. Should I disconnect the accumulator/ car battery or it's not necessary? 3. if I disconnect the battery wouldn't be there any problem with the car systems? (engine, dashboard data/computer 4. same questions, what about immobilizer? Thank you.

1: Don't know about any alarm, I guess i don't have one. 2: I didn't disconnact anything, just had the contact off. 3: No, not that i know off, but then again, i'm am not an automechanic, just a office worker with 2 left hands ;) 4: I don't know what an inmobilizer is.

@@sndr1384 took about 2-3 hours to install. Finally got it fitted and now the screen doesn't turn on. So opened it back up and everything is connected but not working for some reason.

Update, blew a bunch of fuses and my battery died, but got it working at least. Was a bit of a pain making the sim card work, had to disable the sim card they have built in from china unicom?

Problem with even basic astra is that the new console doesn't have room for the airbag and seat belt spies, removing those will give errors you wouldn't want to skip for safety, or maybe you solved somehow?

Er zit een 4g antenne op maar je hebt wel een abbo nodig. Ik heb een Lebara abbo. Deze is het goedkoopst en ze doen niet moeilijk over het feit dat je niet ermee belt maar alleen data gebruikt. (En ja, mijn auto heeft dus zijn eigen 06 nummer) Je activeert de simkaart met een oude telefoon (grote simkaart) en daarna in de simkaart reader van de radio steken.

As i remember there is an extra cable with 4 pins that you have to install. But i don't know for sure. You can ask the Vendor for help!

Hoi Sander, ik heb zo’ scherm gekocht via Aliexpress, heb hem proberen aan te sluiten maar hij werkte niet.. toen heb ik vervolgens mijn oude radio/scherm weer terug geplaatst maar nu werkt het scherm niet meer en ook het geluid van bijv. de richtingaanwijzers.. nu ben ik niet heel handig dus vroeg ik me af of u toevallig weet wat er aan de hand is.

Hey! Klinkt alsof je niet alle kabels terug hebt aangesloten. Voor dat scherm, daar zit een aparte speaker bij (zwart doosje) die je aan moet sluiten. Ik zou nog even goed kijken of je niks vergeten bent. Grote voordeel van de originele radio eruit halen is dat je genoeg werkruimte hebt om alle kabels aan te sluiten. Ze passen maar in 1 gat, dus dat moet goedkomen. Controleer ook of alle kabels erbij zitten, anders de verkoper contacteren en om hulp vragen! Zelf heb ik mijn auto 2 jaar geleden verkocht dus ik heb dit scherm niet meer. Succes en als je nog vragen hebt zal ik die proberen te beantwoorden.

Volgens mij zijn er meerdere opties en kun je ook een bestelling doen met camera inbegrepen. Ik heb deze los bijbesteld, links staan in de beschrijving... Ik had deze nog liggen omdat ik eerst een draadloze optie wilde maar deze is nooit snel genoeg opgestart als je de auto start en hem meteen in zijn achteruit zet. Met kabel is er direct signaal, de draadloze gaat dan pas verbinding zoeken...

Ik heb echt géén idee wat je bedoelt. Zoals gezegd ik ben geen automonteur of radio kenner dus je zult wat meer info moeten geven dan kan ik het misschien zoeken in de radio..

Ik krijg die oude radio er voor geen mogelijkheid uit, die stekker van de airconditioning besturing zit echt vast. Enige tips om hem er uit te krijgen? Kan ik hem er denk je gewoon uit trekken? Snap het als je het vergeten bent of geen zin meer hebt om hier op te reageren.

Hey, natuurlijk wil ik reageren, ik weet niet of ik je kan helpen. Meestal gaan de stekkers los door een kleine platte schroevendraaier te gebruiken en dan dat achter het lipje te wippen. Helaas kan ik mij niet meer herinneren hoe ik dat toen gedaan heb. Maar, ik heb geen geweld gebruikt, dus goed kijken en dan moet het goedkomen!

If you are lucky and you can use power coming from the front radio you only need the positive lead? No need for ground lead?

My radio is the CD 400 PLUS with an ECO button. I bought a model like this and went to install it in 3 mechanics who were unable to install it saying that 3 inputs were not compatible. Exactly the physical button inputs. Has anyone had this problem?

Hey Nick Het geluid van de parkeersensoren en richtingaanwijzer worden geleverd door de bijgeleverde speaker, dat zwarte ronde kastje. De Airbagstoring is een bekend probleem, daarvoor zou ik contact opnemen met de leverancier, die weet hoe dat opgelost moet worden. Radio ontvangst is slecht, ik zeg altijd, waarom heb je dan een android radio geplaatst? Download een radio app of gebruik spotify ;)

Did you look in the description? ibb.co/Z2VFjTb is an overview of the back where everything goes. 20 is the rear view camera power cable and 9 is the rear view camera connection. All other yellow ones are for dvd systems.

It's a common problem, please ask the vendor for advice. Probably you have to add an extra 4 pin cable.

Ask the vendor, this is a common problem and can be fixed with a 4 point wire that you have to install. But I don't know what or how. Vendor has the answer, im just a guy with 2 left hands, not a car mechanic..

I have the same issue

I have bought one of these, but notice that the only button not replaced is the "ECO" button, do you have the same issue or your car did not ECO. Just wondering what will happen if I install this and the ECO button is left unplugged, will it be left permanently turned on or off or even worse cause a fault in the cars computer

You can buy 2 different versions on the vendors site, one with an eco button and one without. My car is the basics version of basiscs so I really don't know! Sorry!

Thanks so much for your video, it was a huge help, not sure I could have done the install without it! Since installing the rear camera, my number plate lights have stopped working, and I get an error regarding the number plate lights when starting the car. Did you have any such problems? The bulbs themselves are fine and they are not fused so it is not a fuse issue. I believe they are controlled by the CANBUS. Thanks again.

Hi! No I didn't have any problems because I didn't messed with the lights. they stayed the same. The only thing i did was replacing the plastic cover with one that has a camera on it. The power for the camera comes from the radio itself. Maybe you could ask the vendor for help?

Het probleem is dat het achterste gedeelte van het schermpje tegen het kunststof aan komt in het lege gat achter de radio..

Oei dat zou ik niet weten. Ja een Buick is een andere auto dan een Opel denk ik? Ik zou even contact opnemen met de dealer en het verhaal uitleggen. Let wel dat je de kabels goed moet doen anders zitten ze tussen de dwarsbalk en de radio en past het niet!

Hoi sander, een vraagje ik heb de android 11. Ik moet telkens handmatig de radio uitzetten ipv sleutel uit het contact. Ligt dat aan een verkeerde aansluiting of moet dat via de instellingen gezocht worden? Gr marvin

De radio blijft nog 30 seconden aan na het contact uitzetten (bij mij). Ik zou het contact uitzetten, sleutel eruit en kijken of die vanzelf uitgaat.

Hi, I've just got the 6G 128GB version I'm wondering if I'm able to connect reverse camera to the head unit for power. But not sure which wire to connect. The camera wire(head unit connector) has a WiFi wire, Brake Wire and a small white wire. I'm wondering if I need to splice the small white wire and use it for power? I have same unit and found a yellow unused wire right next to the yellow female Rca connection following advice from the seller.

if you have infinity sound system from factory, you will have a center speaker in the dashboard, so no space to install gps antenna :) Also, on cars with ECO button and/or OPC /GTC / 5 door (OPC/Sport extra buttons, Sport/Tour extra buttons) there will be some issues because the console doesn't have space to get more buttons.

I've just installed mine today. I have a center speaker but there is a small space next to the speaker (facing the front window) in wich you can easily fit the GPS and 4g antenna :)

Mine, whenever I do, I install an App and delete it, it leaves my car with Chinese language, is it normal? Then I have to disassemble and put back on the old radio

my radio has been set to factory settings automatically since two months. this happens every few days. Is there a solution for this ?

I'm thinking of getting one of these but I will not be putting a sim card in it. At the moment with my normal car stereo system I connect my phone via Bluetooth I can then use the call button on the steering wheel to access the recent calls on my phone and then call some one using the steering wheel. Is that possible with this if I connect my phone to it via Bluetooth will it display my last calls off my phone or will it just show the calls made on the new device

I guess when you press it nothing will happen? But i don't know because i'm not a mechanic. The unit can work without extra options. For example, i don't have steeringwheel buttons but the unit still works.

I don't know what you mean. I guess you mean the airbag error, No I didn't have that, but the vendor will help you if you do!

I bought the same unit (B version, with extra buttom for ECO - which is not marked or wired (blank), I will have to figure that out later), and even though in manual there is a red wire REAR CAM but in my unit there is no such a wire... There is a brown cable that say BACK, but its boths ends are connected to cubes, do you know If I can plug it out and wire it to my rear camera red cable? If not I will have to connect it to my rear lamp. Also one cube doesn't suit the other and I will have to saw it a little. At least that what I was told on a forum. Maybe it'll help someone. I can give an update unce I'm done with it soon.

In the description of the video is a link for the back of my version of the radio. (ibb.co/Z2VFjTb) the connection for power for the rearview camera is the brown cable, nr 20 in the picture. The connection for the video is nr 9. The others are useless

@@sndr1384 Thanks. Good to know that it's brown. I also bought it from that seller. My brown cable goes from one cube to another (it doesn't have a free end). I will remove the cable cover in the middle and connect my rear cam to it for the power. And about that cube, I sawed it a little so it fits (apparently it is often the case) and it worked that way, with one cube (from the car) not being connected to anything.

Deze heb je nodig voor de 'extra' geluiden zoals van je knipperlicht, gordel en achteruit rij sensors. Je kunt hem eruit laten, dan werkt de rest wel gewoon. Extra microfoon is niet perse nodig maar in mijn geval had ik hem bij mijn tweede versie wél geïnstalleerd en dat scheelt echt enorm met bellen.

Hoe het er mee is weet ik niet, ik heb ondertussen een Mokka. Altijd de laatste en snelste versie kopen, met de meeste RAM en geheugen. Anders is het traag en wil je de radio uit t raam gooien!

The airbag issue is a common problem, you should ask the vendor for a solution. As i remember its a 4 pin cable. Like I said in the video im not a car mechanic, just an office guy with 2 left hands. What do you mean? At the end of the video, I show where the cable of the licenseplate goes. The camera gets it's power from the radio, in the description there is an image showing which cable goes where. Let me know if this helps!

This was very helpful thank you very much! But I have an issue, when I put rear gear camera shows 6 split small screen (like 2*3 matrix) and they have distortion. I have tried all settings in rear gear window but none of them helped. In some it does not show anything, in some it shows 6 split screens. Do you have any idea about it? Hi, No, i have no idea. My camera worked straight out of the box with only 1 screen. Very strange. If you have the same camera as me, it should only send 1 image to the radio. Have you contacted the vendor on Aliexpress for advice? Sorry i can't help.

@@sndr1384 Yes, they send another update file. I updated device. Now in AHD settings again it is sending multi screen with signal with distortion. But in NTSC it is working as it should be. Yet now, the ruler line is not turning when I turn steering wheel. Normally are they moving I mean curving?

How do I change the language from Chinese back to English on my dashboard after installing?

Use Google lens on your phone, aim it at the Chinese language and let it translate it to English. Then it should be possible to set it back to English

Hallo sander, geweldig filmpje dankjewel ik heb de radio kunnen installeren. Nu heb ik het probleem, mijn boordcomputer is nu volledig Chinees en ik kan de taal niet veranderen. Nieuwe radio werkt perfect maar mijn boordcomputer is helemaal Chinees. Iemand een idee hoe ik dit kan oplossen? Accu loskoppelen en resetten werkt niet.

Sorry voor de late reactie. Ik zou een KZread filmpje opzoeken hoe je de taal kan instellen. Helaas heb ik mijn Astra verkocht dus kan ik het niet laten zien anders zou ik er een filmpje van gemaakt hebben. Beste tip? Hou je telefoon voor het scherm van je radio en gebruik Google translate. Als het goed is vertaald google het in begrijpelijke Engels en kun je met een beetje kunst en vliegwerk de taal op English of Nederlands krijgen!

@@sndr1384 bedankt voor je reactie. Klopt maar de functie voor de taal staat er niet tussen. Via de oude radio er terug in te zetten is het nu wel gelukt, voor 2 dagen helaas en alles is weer Chinees.

Het lijkt erop dattie na 2 dagen een factory reset doet. Ik zou de verkoper vragen hoe het kan. Erg vervelend dat wel. Als het goed is moet je de taal gewoon in het menu kunnen veranderen zoals je dat ook bij een smartphone doet. Misschien zit die functie verstopt in het verborgen menu waar je het wachtwoord voor nodig hebt.

I didn't. My car had no steeringwheel buttons. I had the cheapest Astra with no extra features

Its a common problem, please contact the vendor for advice, they will help you. I didn't have this problem and don't know how to help (I'm not a carmechanic)

how to turn off the Radio? after removing the key from the ignition, the radio is still on, how to turn the radio on or off without inserting the key into the ignition?

Maybe there is an option in the menu? For me the radio plays for about 30 seconds after killing the ignition and stops when I open the car door.

A cheap unit will work very slow or not at all. Apps take forever to open and you will trow it out of the window fast. Always buy the best version to make it future proof

Hey mate, this video is now a couple of years old, but like I said in the video, always buy the version with the most ram and latest android version to keep it future proof as much as possible. Bought mine at Ali Express. Link in the description

Hi Sander, ich war heute beim TÜV und es ist nicht geprüft. Problem ist gibt's kein Meldung für Beifahrer Airbag. Original Radio hat Beleuchtung, aber Multimedia zeigt kein Meldung. Hast du Idee? Grüße

Hi, trying to translate german to dutch and back to English. Yes the airbag error is a common problem. Did you ask the vendor for help? I know that there is an extra cable that should solve it. Please take a look at the site of the Vendor. Hope this helps!

Don't know, i use android only because its an android unit. Just install your apps on the unit.

Hi, No. I don't notice any difference. Even now due to covid my car is more at home then on the road, nothing has changed. When the engine is not running and you use the radio intensive it drains the battery in 2,5 hours. That's what i found out during installation ;)

Where is it positioned? You should put it under the temperate sensor for optimal signal

Im not sure but I guess it can be done. The canbus has more then 200 settings (cartypes) so I guess the American version is in there somewhere. Ask the Vendor first for more information and canbus code

Great video Sander, thank you! I am awaiting delivery of my item from China and will install soon thereafter. Unfortunately I found your video after purchasing. Can I tell if I have bought the same model or if I bought the cheaper model? My version was around 172 Euro. What was the problem with the cheaper version? I purchased from eBay so not sure if it is the good version or the bad version.

Ah man! Whish you came across my video earlier! I bought my first version about 2 years ago. The problem with the cheap versions is (in my case) that the processor isn't fast enough anymore to keep up with the constant updated apps like waze and spotify. At one point, my waze just was so slow, that it was basically useless. It couldn't keep up. So instead of having a fun new radio it became a real pain in the *ss. and i bought a new faster one. I have looked on e-bay and i can't tell what kind of brand your unit is. There are a couple of different vendors. But, more ROM, RAM and GB means more speed! Hope this helps and let me know if you decide to keep your radio how it functions!

@@AntonMcCann I only have reverse parking sensors and my sound comes from the extra speaker that was delivered with the radio. Otherwise take a look in the car menu, there are alot of features you can fiddle around with that do not apply to me. (Like steeringwheel controls and cruise control) Let me know! Ow, and take a look in the description of this video, there is an image with all the connections of the radio!

@@sndr1384 will do, thank you so much! Everything is working fine now other than the camera, I have little red cables at each end. Not sure if I need both or one either in the stereo or the break light. Did you put red wire into the stereo?

Yes, you can see that in the last few minutes of my video. (photo's only, forgot to film) For the power u need a powercable sticking out from the radio. ibb.co/Z2VFjTb On the image, it's 9 and 20 you need. 9 is for rear camera in, 20 (the thin brown cable) is for power, strip it a bit and just twist it together with the red wire from the camera and use some ducttape. No soldering needed for this. (unless you want it ofcourse...) Oh the other yellow plugins are usesless, that's for putting in a complicated entertainment system with dvd's in the trunk

Hi, i did'nt have this problem, did you connect everything the right way? there is a link in the description where every cable goes. But, do you have reverse sensors? if not, maybe there is an option hidden in the menu to disable it! (if you don't have any sensors, the distance is always zero i guess)

I got an old version that gave me an error 95, showing the airbag was not connected. Using the radio you recommend, have you experienced any error?

Yes this is a common error, but i didn't have it. Please ask the vendor how to fix this. They are glad to help. It has something to do with connecting an exta cable to resolve this. Also read the reviews on AliExpress, there are people with the same problem! Good luck and let me know if this helped

I bought the one I put in the link on my video. Price difference ranges between what version you choose. Always choose the latest model with the most ram and memory...

You mean rear parking sensors? Those will still work. Sound will come out of the speaker delivered with radio. (Also for seatbelt and turn light) Display has green to red stripes

Hallo! Ik zou altijd voor het laaste model gaan met de meeste specs en ramgeheugen. Apps worden continue geupdate en anders werken ze over een tijdje niet meer met je android versie of worden zo traag dat je je radio uit het raam wil gooien!

Which radio do you have before replacing? IT will be also fit to the cd300? Thanks in advance for your answer😉

How does the camera know when the car is in reverse?

When you put it in reverse it gives a signal and the radioscreen becomes the screen
