Perhaps I should have not allowed my romanticized version of Ooty, as created from watching Moondraam Pirrai, to be squashed, crushed and quelled by a real trip to this place. It was dirty, crowded with people not thinking twice before spitting and discarding their rubbish indiscriminately. The busy traffic and diesel-fueled vehicles made the cold air offensive to inhale. This continued into Conoor and Kodaikanal. I don’t understand why this total disregard for hygiene. Isn’t cleanliness next to Godliness? What more in a country that promotes spirituality. The traffic was very busy. On the way all the hotell are very expensive and in shopkeeper sells there iteams on veryy high price. It’s a best place to visit during December time .I loved the place there are many sight seeing and enjoyable tourist spot available. But the very very worst experience is the local ooty taxi drivers they are worst in their behaviour no safety , they are talking bad words , fighting with the customers too, will charge extra cost .😊

@@robinabhuiyan9774 The fly menace is so bad in OOTY with its unclean litter throughout the city, my family has taken a decision not to travel to OOTY but prefer Kodai or the poorer cousin Yercaud instead. It has been a very bad experience where one or two in the family end up in hospitals with stomach upset or vomiting every time we have been to ooty all attributed to the fly swarms from the waste lying outside all resorts, hotels, restaurants etc. The crowds contribute it too but the corporation does not clean up the place which used to be queen of the south hills!

@@robinabhuiyan9774 Its a average place to spend time. Dont go with the name Scotland of India. Its a good place for them who don’t want more sight seeing. Last year I went with my friend by bike from kozhikode. The bike trip was awesome. Its around 180+ km from kozhikode.Our first destination was Dubare. We reached in afternoon. We missed the fun part of Dubare in which elephant are getting bathe. But the place was quite nice. We spend around 3 hours in Dubare. We crossed the low river by walking and spend time with seeing iconic view of the place. There are shop around Dubare where you can take refreshment. The crowd was there on that day.After that we went for a Abbey waterfall to see which is most famous waterfall in Coorg.The way to reach Abbey fall is awesome. You can see some good scenery while going to the Abbey fall. But the fall is not must interesting. We can see waterfall from certain distance but no-one is allowed to go nearby. After seeing socchipara waterfall in Wayand I was expecting more according to Coorg.But after spending half an hour we left that place that place and proceed for seeing city Coorg and Raja seat point. We reached city after one and half hour drive.The city part is more exciting. City is more peaceful than any other city and the architecture of the city is beautifully designed. We spend time at Raja seat and scenery was beautiful and adorable. Its probably a best point for native person to spend time at that place. But all of my friend already exhausted wanted not to see more of Scotland of India. So we decided to spend remaining time at some other place.The journey of going to Coorg and getting back is lot more fun than sightseeing. That all about Coorg . I actually don’t recommend to go Coorg if you are going along with yours friends for only sightseeing. But if you want see the beautiful city which is quite different from other cities then city is liked by you.

​​@@robinabhuiyan9774 Looking at all overrated google reviews I went to coorg with my family. I just want to meet a person who named it as Scotland of India. May be its good for trekkers but not at all advisable for a family traveller. There is nothing to see, Elephant camp and Raja’s seat were OK OK, rest of the places are utter disappointment. Just waste of time, money and energy. I have been in coorg last year to meet my friend there and to see the beautiful places he reminded. We went there from Bangalore to Mysore and then coorg we stayed there two days, and then we have visited the Tibetan Buddhist temple, Raja seat park, elephant camp and some other places it was nice but the roads in their are in worst condition and the food not suitable for eating, Although it is a beautiful place but when it was raining there the roads are fully invisible. According to me it is a beautiful place but in worst condition.
