I moved into this apt in May, I still have only half unpacked. I just found a bucket of stuff hiding in the back of a closet that got stuffed there when we got here that I didn't even know I had. Probably staying another year, so maybe I'll get fully moved in before we end up leaving. But the struggle is real.

it's weird how emotionally attached I feel to a person I've never met, a place i've never been to and and apartment I haven't lived in. it kinda feels like as we've been able to see ashley grow we've grown with her and i'm so excited to see what this next chapter brings for her. i'll be graduating soon and i almost feel like i'm in a similar space where i'm going into the next big chapter of my life. i really hope i can make my dreams of moving to japan a reality like ashley moved to new york💜✨ you're an inspiration ashley - you're more than just a good person, to many you're like an older sister or a best friend they had always hoped for. you're a hardworking, kind-hearted and generous woman who i really believe is going to conquer the world.

I'm moving in a month again, and life is so crazy. I've moved to another country to a dorm, then my own little room, then sharing with boyfriend and now our own flat (in London everyone shares as rent is expensive so this is such a big deal). Watching her move made me so emotional. This is how I feel, especially as after the first move all other ones were without my family who I always had for every big event. Doing it all on your own, leaving your little space and being independent is just so crazy. You get attached to such stupid things and it's so heartwarming to watch this. I hope everyone reading takes the plunge and tries living somewhere far, even if it's for a year. It changes you in such a good way!

I found myself coming back to this video, and found it comforting to see someone else going through the same emotions and logistics (lmao love inventory and stress packing) as I am currently. I'm also in the position where I have to sell my first car, and my logical brain knows how absurd it is to be attached to a chunk of metal, but I can't stop crying it's absolutely insane lol. It's always rose tinted glasses when you look back, but is that a bad thing? Leaving the place that helped you learn so much about yourself is a ridiculously bittersweet feeling, but there's a new challenge, new life, and new experience ahead. Anyway, I wanted mainly to express how much this vlog comforted me, and made me feel like my *WRITHING PIT OF EMOTIONS* was valid and I'm not crazy for feeling so teary about this move. I just started watching your videos and I'm already crying. When someone told you that you're a good person, that got me because you seem seriously so sweet!!

I’m not sure why but I got really emotional when she said merry Christmas when booking her hotel I think it’s because it seemed very lonely and the last thing I want for Ashley is to feel alone. I hope New York opens lots of opportunity for friendships that we can see Ashley blossom into!!

i really like ashley because of those honest moments she shares. i think about that particular thing a lot in my personal life. my dad wasn't a great person at all. i have a lot of residual trauma from the time i lived with him that i'm working through, and anytime i see anything in myself similar to him, i panic. its nice to see someone else have a similar fear. and its nice to know that if its something we're thinking of and working on, we can't be that bad. y'know

As someone who has a deep deep desire to move to NYC, but can't right now, it's helped me process some of my feelings and also allowed me to live vicariously on multiple occasions.
