I simply LOVE this song. It has everything: smack talking (Without a pumpkin king, it's Oogie Boogie's way) , despotic vibes (I'll tear up this town, and I'm starting with you) , aggressive throws (my lasers will slice, my knives will cut deep) , it even jokes about Sally weeping Jack's demise (And when it's all over/Sally, she will weep) . He's THAT savage. And he doesn't need a tainted brain to be so savage

That kind of happens in the beginning. I mostly want a closure scene between the doctor and Sally. They didn't really resolve their (kind of messed up) relationship in the movie.

You know something, the line “it seems you’ve lost your crown” can be observed 2 ways, of course it’s mainly Finkelstein telling Jack he’s no longer the Pumpkin King, but the crown is also part of the head, and losing one’s head is a phrase that means someone’s gone crazy, so you could also observe it as Finkelstein telling Jack that he’s crazy for fighting him

The only song that wasn't parodied from the movie. And they went all out with it.

Finklestein was originally meant to be more important (the main villain to be exact) in the movie, so maybe there was at least an idea of a "movie version" of this song and it could only come to life in the game. Now I want to google if that's a known fact XD

FERNANDO TECUAPETLA GARCIA Actually Dr. Finkelstein was originally supposed to be The Oogie Boogie Man because Sally wanted to be with Jack rather than take care of her creator. It was cutted out of the movie but you can find it in deleted scene videos. So this song represents his resentment for Jack for taking Sally away from him and venting his anger on him. (Aside from the whole green brain that may represent the deleted plot.)

This song holds a stronger place in my memory because my older brother was stuck on this fight for what felt like years (he was 7 playing on hard mode) so I heard this song much more than any of the others.

I remember just playing this scene over and over again just to listen to this. It's definitely my favourite from the game.

You know it's funny. When I was a kid I never had any expectations for anything more than an at worst sub par adventure game and got actually really sceptical when it was a musical game as well but this actually turned out to be a pretty fun game with some surprisingly catchy tunes like this one

Cool fact: In the movie the Dr was actually the enemy. He wanted revenge against Jack because Sally was disobedient and it was because of her feelings for Jack. He created 'Oogie' and wore it as a suit while he controlled 'Oogie' from the inside. There's a story board with voice acting for it online, it was also in the bonus of the film's dvd as well.

Necro but this is NOT the case. It was originally pitched that Oogie Boogie would be a mechanical suite made by Dr. Finklestein but Tim Burton HATED that idea, so much so that he kicked a hole in a wall before storming out of the studio. So they didn't go with it.

Technically it was an evil brain Oogie put into Finkelstein and Jack did put back in the real one. So he is a true friend to the doctor.

I listened to this for half a hour and loved it the whole time. What a freaking song."I'll tear up this town, and I'm starting with you!"

Fun fact. When I was looking through the voice actor credits to see who still had the same VA from the original movie, I noticed something interesting. The guy they got to replace Dr. Finkelstein? He's the guy who voices Wakko Warner. Weird, huh?

Every boss in this game is fabulous but Dr finklestein is one of my preference 😄 the fight is so funny... replace his real brain during Jack's attempts to make him think about his actions

I wonder if there is a demo somewhere of Danny Elfman singing this

I'm visiting this song again after 17 years (my mind thought of this song for some reason while thinking of the best Disney villian songs outside of movies, but I couldn't remember the lyrics thus how I ended up here) and OMG this brought back SO much nostalgia! I used to love this song so much when I was in middle school being a huge Disney nerd at the time. I still like Disney but being older, it's not so much hard-core now.
