One time I joined a random co op lobby and spent 2 hours trying to beat suburbs on the second to hardest difficulty. We didnt really get close but it was a really fun experience.

I did like the exact thing once, i spent hours on suburbs while trying to hole up in a house and then escape (we were playing evac on veteran) and i was also playing on a public co-op server. It was one of the most fun times i’ve had in onward.

Set it to max and hole up in one of the houses. One person watching stairs, the other roaming between the 2 main rooms. Bring G3A3 red dot+drum mag. Me and a buddy used to do it before we went to pvp

Same except we were doing the hardest played for 3 hrs with randoms didn't see them afterwards but it was fun also we didn't even try to beat it in short I played for 3 hrs with people I don't know and there was alot of explosive

How many bots? Anything more than 128 is absurd, they have aimbot and shoot through walls as I’m sure you found out

imagine having voice chat hearable by enemies in a coop stealth game! hand signals all the way and sticking close together would be sick - proper tactical mode

I love this vr game, it takes a little while to get used to. Biggest thing is in coop as soon as you are found ALL of them book it to you.

Suburbia and Cargo were crazy having 32 enemies rushing you all at once. Had a squad of randoms and we beat Cargo on veteran once. No idea how we pulled it off though. It's an overwhelming amount of enemies. It's really too bad that in 1.8 they put a limit of 7 or 8 enemies that could be spawned in at once.

To be fair, they're kind of missing a difficulty setting between recruit and experienced. The difference between experienced and veteran is minimal compared to that. ^^

I play 1.7 where the A.I. behave way different and instead of having a limit of 7-8 enemies at a time, you could have as many as 32 enemies on the map all at once. For me rookie was far too easy. Experienced was a little challenging but not too hard. Veteran is really hard but I could beat it. And Elite is just impossible. This all depends on the map though. Jungle is impossible on every difficulty.

The game does such a good job of making Corey look like an anxious little boy when he's holding the grenade and looking for the pin.

Hey btw, Pavlov is getting a new update soon. It adds new gore, it’s gonna be in UE5, they’re adding the scorpion smg, and hand gestures (just saying this to give you a heads up in the future of Pavlov). This could make it easier, and better to mod for the game. If not, then there will definitely be a performance boost from 4.21.

This is one of my favorite things to do with my buddies. Often times they’ll just come over and will do this in our living room, I really wish that they would give the bots a bit more love. Literally just make them peak corners and kneel instead of just rushing

i love coop, i remember this one time i got matched up with a bunch of people trying stealth, but i forgot to put a supressor on my ak, so i had to go pistol only until the very end, where we grouped back together and, after we were done getting some supplies, one guy told me to grab my ak and "let it sing," and im pretty sure that rush of dopamine was the biggest i had experienced that year.

I love that. I played with my teammayes trying to go stealthy but I had the 249 and a suppressed 5.7. I kept using the 5.7 until we took heavy enough fire for me to view it as acceptable to let the saw do it's thing and cut the baddies down

Been playing onward for a bit and while multiplayer can be fun. I love the co-op, great video and wish they add more to this mode!

I imagine Habie's brain as smooth except for one part that is the most wrinkled part of any brain in the world.

I will always remember when me and my friend first got our HTC Vives and played this co op. It was the moment I feel in love with VR. We were pinned down, I was physically crouching desperately clinging on to what little cover I had. I looked over and he was doing the same. He told me he was out of ammo so I threw a mag over to him, he reloaded, we started blasting... Then we both died :) 10/10 would get suppressed again

Can agree CO-OP is hard as shit especially when your solo. Rookie is hard and elite is not worth trying. But you somehow make it look fun and got me to laugh a few times!

Wait what maps? 12 on experienced is my default for a slight challenge on cqb maps like panda towers. I up it to 36 on downfall night for when I just want to have a casual bolt action game with having to take the usual building for ammo towards the end. I don't have a stock or anything, though I do use the virtual stock setting

I just played a co op mode last night. I was playing that one desert map at night. It was me and three randoms agains 32 normal Ai bots. Me and one dude went through the town while the other two sat on a mountain I wasn’t even aware was possible to climb. They had laser pointers and were showing us where enemies were. As we pushed through to the edge of the map, they’re sniper shots had delayed sound effects. So you would see the laser shine on a enemy, watch them drop, then hear the sound of the sniper. So awesome! Going to do it again

I love Onward. Just doesn't have enough interesting gamemodes to keep me entertained for long. The A.I scaling per difficulty is also actually really bad. Its also ridiculous that the bots can just see you all the way from the otherside of the map when you're a sniper hiding behind a bush or wall.

One time on turbine I look out a door and gun shots go off so I look for the enemy and then there is a long pause and then one gunshot and I’m dead, the enemy was on the other side of the map and I couldn’t see it because the quest 1 has really low resolution

Hunt is a great mode. I also like the intensity of Evac occasionally as it has that high intensity pressure toward the end of the round.

Man, I need to play this again, I remember the last place I lived, my mate brought his entire computer and VR rig, set up in our spare bedroom and 3 of us took turns in online coop, the peak of the night was when my house mate tried to throw a grenade and instead threw the entire controller at the wall. He said his view was just his hand disappearing into the darkness and we heard a loud crash as the controller hit the wall. Because his hand was still on the grenade, he died when it went off.

At one point an enemy walked around the corner as I was reloading. I grabbed my 1911 and missed every shot, flung it on the way for my knife and somehow survived.

I’ve been in squads that tear up hundreds of enemies on veteran, if you have a good crew, you can totally take on anything

I've been on a 3 man that took 128 on veteran before on several maps. The main complaint I have is how long it takes. I got my tactics from other games before I had vr and airsoft on the weekends. I personally don't see why coop is so difficult for people. You don't need military experience or anything like that. Just somewhat decent tactics, being able to use your gear effectively, and most importantly using cover. As long as you can use cover, your team is covering eachother, and you can shoot straight and reload decently while not blowing your team up when you throw a frag you're pretty much good

@@hf117j exactly, everytime I play people keep dying and I don’t get it, the only times I die is 1. Team killing 2. Trying to revive someone after they died for the 5 thousandth time 3. People making me use a suppressor and I don’t want to get rid of my LMG so I use a pistol

I played the crap out of this game when VR was brand spanking new. The AI wasn't originally that terrifying. I used to solo Vet 12 man maps. Now I'm lucky if I can finish Experienced with 8. The multiplayer pvp used to be excellent but now its filled with milsim hardcore fuckers who have buttstocks for aiming and take this shit very seriously.

Some prick who got like 30 kills a game had it out for me cause I was new, tried getting the whole lobby to kick me. Turns out everyone dislike him and as I’m waiting to be kicked, all of a sudden the lobby kicked him instead 😂

Onward is the one game I have ever played in VR, I did it with my friends when we rented a few VR stalls and it is definitely the first game I will buy when I get VR.

Flashes are actually awesome for multiplayer, people always panic when they get flashed and it’s easy to take them out. Throwing a smoke in a room where people are and throwing in a frag is another way to take out a lot of people

You need to try Onward version 1.7. In that version the gun shots are by far the loudest sound in the game. You turn the volume up and it sounds like you are getting shot at in real life. Really gets your adrenaline going.

yeah 1.7 looks and sounds so so much better.. but it plays so much worse. the scopes are almost unusable. it kinda sucks that they dont support it anymore, but oh well

@@pixel6173 The scopes were easier to use in 1.8 but that's the only improvement. Everything else was drastically downgraded. It was like it turned into a cheap phone version of the game.

@@pixel6173 the scopes are ok in v1.7, just more difficult to align without a gun stock as they are more realistic etc. or at least that was my assumption. i could be wrong. and i dont play anymore because i am still sour over what they did, and unfortunately its hard to find v1.7 players in my timezone.
