I've had a Rat 1 in aus8 for years . Everyday carry back & forth to work as a mechanic & on many camping trips . Beast of a workhorse for the $$$ . Go buy one

Great knife and I have carried the Rat 2 for over 5 years and I am going back to it as just wanted to do some rotating...Everyone should have one in their collection....Good stuff....

I’d love to see your sharpening method on the Aus 8 version. I’ve had mine as my pocket EDC for about three years. I never was truly satisfied with the sharpness I’d get on the edge until I used a vintage kitchen steel with it. After a ceramic rod. I figured it would turn out better due to the flat grind shape. Twas much better but man I dig your convex edge. I use diamond plates, and stones by hand. Hell even my SRK has become sharper using the same method. Which is my EDC belt knife. Any tips on both these blades would be most appreciated. Thanks for the video!

Well what do you think? Now that it's been a while which would you chose (even if they were both the same price.)? I'm getting ready to purchase my first rat 2 and I'm just wondering which steel I should choose. Thanks 😎👍

Hi, how has been the D2 so far, is it really worth it over AUS-8? I read something about bad heat treatment od D2 rats so I wonder if Cedric was just lucky. Btw I checked ontario website and there are no rats in D2 but some stores still have them.

It’s been good. Well worth the upgrade. And almost twice the edge retention
