I love the ONrobot products! there is only one thing I can say bad is their grippers are too heavy for ABB IRB120s! The company I work for would love to implement the dual QC mount, with a VGC10 vacuum tool and 3FG15 3 finger gripper. However the irb120s are only rated for 3kgs max payload, VGC10 weights almost 1kg on its own, 3fg15 weights just a little over 1kg, and the dual QC mount is just under half a kilo making the total tool weight almost 2.5kgs that leaves almost no room to pick up parts or to safely extend the robot!

@@scottequipmentcompany irb120s are just not big enough to handle the weight. I am located in WV eastern panhandle. as of right now I am having issues connecting the compute box to windows 10 the DHCP is enabled and dip switch 3 is on only and I cannot connect. your video makes it look easier than it looks

@@albertotorres8026 Have you reached out to Onrobot? We've been using our compute box without any problems.

@@scottequipmentcompany I sure did we got the issues solved. apparently something wrong with Ethernet port, we switched to another port and communicated and programmed the box successfully and completed integration with ABB's IRB4400. As for the Irb120s we moved on to a lighter platform that we created in house with the help of ABB and Stratasys.

You can't control the speed independent of the force on the RG-6? Can you change the fingers? On the soft gripper, why didn't you demo the Egg/t-shirt picks?

Yes, there are optional fingers available for the gripper. We have plans for more videos of the gripper picking up similar items. This video was more about the compute box and it's capabilities.

@@scottequipmentcompany also, can't Robotiq do something similar to the compute box with a simple USB to RS-485 adapter and a 24V power supply, versus that big box?

@@plebetopro5786 We haven't tried that. But we can hook up two grippers at once with OnRobot. Two methods for accomplishing similar tasks.
