The Ono Ha Ittō-ryū is the oldest of the many Ittō-ryū styles rooting in the Ittosai Kagehisa's original art and founded by his direct successor, Ono Jiroemon Tadaaki, in the early 16th century. Ono became the instructor of the Shōgun, along with rivaling Yagyū Munenori of the Yagyū Shinkage Ryū. The Ono-ha Ittō-ryū Kenjutsu consists of more than 150 techniques, using both long and short swords. It still is one of the most important of the traditional Kenjutsu styles today, having a great influence upon modern Kendo, Kata, tactics, and aesthetic.

there is actually a slight angle you have to utilise to deflect sword in middle, it is the meeting of shinogi and with proper technique you win the center... (dunno if i get this right) im not experienced at this stuff anyway :D also you have to cut after your opponent has cut... sorry english is bad

@@zimdoeswhatever god damn it this is the hidden key to kiriotoshi that is usually only orally taught. Ono-ha Itto Ryu only publicly teaches to use the "bigger wheel" to suppress the other's cut.
