I'm in love with this! It sounds like a classic musical ballad that could easily place into an older show, and the singer has a very young-sounding and clear voice. It's refreshing to cast an unknown actor in one of the lead roles rather than going for big name recognition. I can tell this guy's going to go far, and the songs I've heard so far have made this show seem promising. Can't wait for more!

We saw the show yesterday and this song came out of nowhere. The rendition was so stunningly beautiful that I had tears rolling down my face. What a privilege to have been able to listen to this.

I honestly don't understand the hate this musical has gotten. It's so amazing! Not to mention the actors! This guy right here! How could anyone not fall in love instantly?!

This guy is absolutely incredible. Just can’t believe the show is closing.

His path to this role is musical theatre kid's dream. My mt heart soars for him - first role, West End debut, ALW's new show, original cast and cast recording. The stuff dreams are made of ❤️ and what a voice! Very excited to see this show and a new take on a classic story

He has a voice of an angel! I went to see cinderella today and he had a much deserved standing ovation for this!

So beautiful! This and ‘Far Too Late’ are just lovely, I’m interested to see what they do orchestration wise with ‘Bad Cinderella’ sounds likes it’s from a different show. But maybe that’s the point oh it’s to exciting! X

@@ajmalaika1287 Nope-- ALL of Lloyd-Webber's shows do this, and he somehow makes it normal and natural. I mean, why are there electric guitars and electric drums in the middle of Phantom? Because the Phantom is SO different from Christine's world,so we buy it, subconsciously.

@@gap9992 "The Beauty Underneath" is AWFUL... it was clearly trying to "be" "Phantom of the Opera"-- and failed. Because it wasn't organic.

Wikipedia has a complete synopsis of the play including notations of where the musical numbers fit. Also if you listen to said musical numbers (the whole soundtrack is available here on KZread), much of the dialogue is embedded in the lyrics & bridges between songs a la much of ALW's previous works.

Yes!!! Prince Charming is also a Black man (I don’t want to give too much away…but there are two princes in this version of the story 😉)
