One of the things I've learned playing as Luke and Maul is when you dodge, try to dodge infront of them then use your dash and it damages the target from behind

Both dashes are roughly square, if you’re directly behind the enemy and not even facing them, if you dash it’ll connect, also for Luke you can hit twice with the dash if you keep your reticle exactly on the targets body during the end of the animation and are close enough. Same with maul but much harder and inconsistent.

Never understood why Dice/EA never thought to put a ranked dueling mode on here. Seeing stuff like this makes me wonder how I use heroes in HvV

Because the game isn't balanced for 1v1s, Vader and Grievous are both way too unbalanced if you abuse all their tech

@@xx-cl8xt Just because Dice doesn't know how to balance sabers doesn't mean 1v1s don't work. The dueling community has general agreements not to use certain star cards. Ask yourself this, which one is more fun: competitive 1v1's or sweaty 2v2's

Pretty fancy moves there..a worthy opponent you’ve become 😈

Also little hint you can double parry so when you parry a parry immediate attack you get the hit

Quick hooks/animation cancels are pretty easy to get down. But in a fight lots of people struggle to do them or even land them once in a duel

How do you do the animation cancels?

@@TheLuconic so I’m order to do an animation cancel: you have have to be holding block, and then you dodge to the specific area you want to dodge while holding block. After 1 to 1.5 seconds once your character is basically at the end or has ended the dodge animation. You jump (tap the jump button, don’t hold it), while still holding block and attack. You can also substitute the light saber attack for an ability. Although, it only works with certain hero’s like: Luke with his push, Mauls choke (via spamming it), kylo with his freeze and pull, and Dooku with lighting (via spamming it)

@@TheElphick9 lots of animations leave you vulnerable for attacks/abilities like if you repulse with Luke and vader blocks it he can choke Luke before he can resume blocking Or if dooku uses expose weakness too close to the enemy you are almost guaranteed to take 1 or 2 hits or even get hit by knockdown abilities like pull/push/rey dash strike and any others

In case you're not already, because it's the key...... Try holding block 😉 If you don't block you can't get the quick jumps. Hope this helps!

Because 2 was a massive failure. “BUt iT mAdE a MaSSivE comEbAck” that’s true, but you know what it didn’t make? Money. That’s why support was cut off even though the game was popping mid 2020. And to most people outside of the community BF2 is still that garbage game plagued with loot boxes. Why make BF3 which is financially risky and expensive when they can keep making FIFA & NFL? You guys think they out here doing all sorts of shit, when it’s not that complicated rule #1 money. Why isn’t thing X happening? Money. Why is this thing happening? Money. Money, money, get it through your head. The 75-year-old share holders at EA don’t give a fuck that you want to play Sith-man or Jedi-hero.

@@phalanx8437 Yes, but they could make a fair balance. No micro transactions and stuff, but maybe make a huge DLC like in Battlefront 2015, and I can guarantee that would make shit loads of money. Maybe once every 2-3 months they could make a pack of skins for about £10 and that'd cook them up quite a bit of money. Additionally, with the amount of people who still want Battlefront 3 and the amount of people STILL playing Battlefront 2, I am sure it would get 25M+ sales. It isn't that hard. Additionally, it IS a well-known fact the game made a massive comeback, and that could make people think they know what they are doing with the franchise this time, and can trust them enough to purchase Battlefront 3.

@@phalanx8437 Still EA's fault though in this case since the original monetization scheme was a literal casino in-game. They had no clue how to monetize this game and when the fans didn't accept their gambling mechanics they decided to take out ALL monetization as a show of good will. That's on them, they could have monetized new DLC like the did with 2015 or they could have monetized cosmetics properly the way Call of Duty, Apex Legends, and many other games do it. They could have done a battle pass. Literally anything other than either a casino or nothing at all. EA killed this game because of incompetence

They understand that Star Wars is a giant legacy IP and you can get away with more bullshit if you slap Vader on shit. They believed that they could go ultra-aggressive with the monetisation, making you play 40+ hours to unlock heroes when heroes is the only thing most people care about, would be like making you play COD or Battlefield for 40 hours with knives before you unlock your first gun, doesn’t make sense. When the blow back was so aggressive that their stock value went down, they were chastised by their Disney overlords and people were leaving the game in droves, they had to completely remove monetisation as damage control. To this day it’s the most controversial game release in recent memory, you’re kidding yourself if you think they could’ve snuck paid cosmetics in even 3-4 years after the fact. BF2 is an anomaly, and the reason they ultimately abandoned it was because it could never be monetised again. It wasn’t incompetence, it was greed. In fact their in-game casino as you put it would’ve made them billions if it had gone through.

@@Unshaved_Sheev After the giant PR failure that was BF2 EA went into full damage control, why would they develop expensive, man-power intensive DLC for a financially impotent project? As for you saying how many people want BF3 and how many play BF2 and sales, that’s just your own bias kicking in, BF2 is by no stretch of the imagination a thriving community, maybe a couple thousand players at best. And outside of the community most people don’t give a shit about BF3 take yourself out of your insular thinking, most people will always see BF2 as that one Star Wars game with loot boxes. As for you saying “It isn’t that hard” just plain ignorance. Game development is one of the most complicated mediums to develop for, it would take hundreds of millions of dollars and multiple years to flesh out a BF3. And also dice loving using unreal engine which is known for being super finicky and complex, don’t you ever wonder why all of Dice’s games look fantastic but are buggy nightmares? Unreal engine.

I never see you dodge backwards for an attack. Its one of the things I get people with because I expose my back but the dodge will block their attack and then you get 2 free hits on their back.

@@TheStarBazaar I have. With Maul especially. Spin attack to engage so then we are back to back, then dash backwards, even good players expect you to turn and swing or block. It has to be fast though.

I’m playing with people who do that I need to figure out how to myself, that’s the only trick in the game that I have not perfected.

You need to dodge while holding block, wait half a second, and then jump and strike. Hope that helps!

@@TheBattlefrontLegacyOnYT Don’t worry too much about it, animation cancelling is very situational and hardly ever relevant in high-level duelling, it’s like a fraction of a second faster than most post-dodge animations, and most of the time you’ll either be parried or missed. It’s one of those moves that sounds good on paper but seldom translates into reality. Honing your reads, hookswings, parries and movement will make you 10x better as a duellist. Look at all the top ranked duellists and watch all their series’ you’ll almost never seen animation cancelling implemented.

Has anyone else had trouble with their Battlefront 2 account or just EA games in general least on PS4? Like I haven't played in months and when I started it up it showed my pre order skins were locked and my progession was at 0% though if you went into a category like say campaign it showed the ones I completed. This made be start up Anthem since it's the only other EA game I have and it started up taking me through the tutorial as if I didn't have a save 🤔. Of course I tried to talk to EA costumer service but ugggh 🙄 one told me it was bc servers were down another just told me it's a issue they've been told about and are working on it. Smh so irritating I've put so many hours into those games lol.
