I began investing at the age of 33, primarily utilizing my hard work and dedication. Now at the age of 38, I am delighted to share that my passive income exceeded $100k for the first time in a single month. This advice is truly valuable, so don't hesitate to take action. This eye-opening experience has given me insight into why experienced traders can achieve remarkable returns even in lesser-known markets. thank you Henry. This is one of the many great videos. I would like to know by rolling a ITM cover call, means you are closing the current one for a loss and buy a further DTE & higher strike price cover call, right? Since you are buying Nov cover call, why did you choose 444 only $3 away from your current strike but not going for higher? Thank you.
Love this video! 👍🏻 Question: How does the wash rule apply to options and assignments as I’m sure as you average lower there will be times assignments are higher within the 30-day period. Do you move to alternative stocks during that period? Thanks!
Hi Henry, when do you close stocks that you running the wheel on? If you are up big on holding shares do you ever close them out? Or do you continue to sell calls and puts?
You told me exactly what I needed to hear because I *always* kick myself for closing out a position too early and missing out on further potential gains. It's good to be content with making any gains at all as long as it's consistent

He makes the 2 million fast trading Tesla with out of the money spreads then says I'm just here for the people who are serious and want to get rich slowly only opening 15 delta credit spreads that make like $20 with risking $500. Nobody who already has 6 figures and knows anything would ever spend their time watching these silly videos where he contradicts himself from like 2 videos earlier all the time like with rolling for example where he says it's stupid one video then a week later rolling is great and that's what he always does. Addressing Minute 6:50. Take a look at some 1-2 week debit call spreads with some good premiums. (Right now 03/18/2024 that’s NVDA, COST, META just for example) Set your probabilities around 15-20% on the short strikes. And then multiplying the contracts to get you decent amount of income. And quick too! Position size according to your account. Debit spreads/risk-free Long calls/1-2 week butterfly spreads/and of course all the credit spreads because they are just the bread and butter of options income.

Very sorry to say that I have been using put credit spread for SPY for the last 10 years and it is not possible to earn 40% even in a year. SPY does not go up steadily, it bounces up and down. When it goes through the lower strike price the loss is 4 or 5 times the premium you collect.

The premium is usually much higher on cash secured puts than on covered calls. I prefer CSP. And on a large Portfolio it is easier. If you have only 100 shares and price drops 30% you either sell a call which is below your entry price or you get almost nothing for your call at Entry price.
@ProBuenoCo

If the stock drops 30%, the CSP will get assigned and your assigned stocks will go down close to 30%. Am I missing something?
@finanziker

@@ProBuenoCo Most likely, it depends on which strikeprice you have choosen. Usually when I sell a cash secured put I choose strike price 5-10% lower than current price so you have a margin of safety and if you are assigned you are down less than if you had just bought the stock and sold a covered call at your entry price.

I really agree with you with not wanting to be a landlord even tho sure, I’d be happy to be one if I have the dough. But to me I see selling covered calls is as nice as being a landlord as well without having to deal with maintenance issues. Like ur underlying stocks act as ur rental properties and the premiums u collect act as ur rent but except in this case u just need to have great management when ur cc gets itm which doesn’t require a lot to do.
Hi Henry so i do understand the concept of this covered call strategy, but for example.. if you did do the 445 cover call and collected that premium, looking at the price today ($451) you wouldve lost a lot more than what you wouldve made correct? so wouldn't it make sense to just leave the portfolio as is?

1:18 Not quite. More often than not selling a Put has the added advantage of leverage. Although the risk profile might be similar the capital requirement is much lower in a margin account. Unless required to due to being forced to trade on a cash account, you will make the same return potentially on a covered call than a short put but on the put much less capital requirement.
Eye opening strategy. Thank you Henry Q: post-covid...in this crazy market..what has been your monthly ave ROI or annual on your SPY covered call strategy with the ~1.5M investment (80%) of your portfolio. Thanks again for this great content. Cheers.

So if you're starting now with $2000, what would your strategy be? Same idea with a lower cost etf?
I’m compiling and picking stocks that I’d love to hold on to for a few years before retirement, do you think these stocks would do better over the years? I’d love to retire with at least $2million savings. Now you gotta rely on a pretty good diversification if you must stay green. Currently up 31% and being cautious. Still better deal than letting it sit in savings or checking earning near 5% interest
You are honest and professional. I love it !!

If trading CC on just SPY only , do I need to subscribe to your services?
So correct me if I'm wrong, but to do this I have to either buy 100 shares of SPY which is trading for $458.23 (meaning I need $45,823) or I sell a Put for $367 with an assignment risk of $44,633. So either way I have to have an account that at minimum to do just 1 trade, has to have approximately $46K. Am I hearing this correctly?

I messed up in July and sold a call too early, but I was able to roll up on a dip and keep my shares. Now I'm looking to buy my call back in a week or two because the rsi is getting low so I can free up my upside.

What happens when the price drops below your buy price? My experience with single stocks has been mixed. Perhaps the SPY is less volatile and more predictible. A couple frustrating things I have done when the stock price dropped and seemed to be going nowhere and selling a call at a strike lower than the original buy price trying to bring in some income. The the underlying shoots back up, you are then rolling up and out at extremely long dates in the future . Need to change my mentality and sell at the highs, not the lows.
