At the 2012 Ceremony of Beating Retreat on Horse Guards Parade, in the presence of Their Royal Highnesses The Earl and Countess of Wessex, the Household Cavalry Mounted Band were joined by musician, singer and actor John Tams for a special performance of "Only Remembered" from the National Theater's award-winning production of War Horse. In a special collaboration "Joey" appeared together with John Tams - co-arranger with H Brough of the 1891 Hymn by Dr Bonar - on Horse Guards Parade for a special performance of "Only Remembered".
The conductor is Captain Jason Griffiths, (Director of Music of the Band of The Blues and Royals).
