So as the mystery of who killed Bunny unraveled like a sweater, the show took us down many twisty roads littered with easter eggs, hidden details and foreshadowing. But this isn’t a first for the show, with Season 1 also providing the very same - tons of twists and tons of fun easter eggs neatly dispersed within. The show seems to relish breaking the fourth wall and providing meta humor, so you can bet your bottom dollar that some of these clues were right in front of your face the whole time and you probably didn’t notice them.
That’s why in this video we are going to take a look at 25 or so things you might have missed in Seasons 1 and 2 of the hit crime caper Only Murders in the Building. From there being a bunch of constantly shifting easter eggs in the opening credits, the foreshadowing of Tim’s murderer in Charles’ opening scene in Season 1, the subtle piece of editing that hinted at Bunny’s true killer in Season 2, the real meaning behind Charles’ hit show ‘Brazzos’, references and call backs to Steve Martin’s long catalogue of movies, a surprise shot of a famous sitcom locale, the true crime references scattered throughout, the initial plot of the show (and how it was all nearly very different) and the story of the real Arconia. Well, First off, Cinda Canning is NOT played by Sarah Palin, but by Tina Fey. Major mistake there guys. Rest of the cast is awesome.

The thing you missed that in this case the Butler actually did do it. Becky Butler. They told you the murderer from the opening scenes in the first season.
That’s not Sarah Palin, it’s Tina Fey!

Easter Egg missed in episode 10 is the poppy flower in the fireworks. A reference to Poppy being revealed as the killer.
So that was Sarah Palin playing Tiny Fey playing Cinda Canning? Palin is fantastic! A much better actor than she is a politician!

Charles and Oliver are just dialed down versions of Frank and George from Father of the Bride and I love that and this show. Roll on season 3.

the fact Selena didnt know Martin or Steve were is crazy to me....I'm younger than her and grew up on Wizards but I know who they both are. The Martins are the reason I watched this show

I knew all of them. I’m 25 so I know Selena. I know Steve Martin from the Pink Panther and Cheaper and I know the other one from HIMYM

I knew of the three of them before the show started but I knew Selena Gomez and Steve Martin more than I did Martin Short. I knew Selena from Wizards of Waverly Place (and then her life/career kind of after that) and Steve from Cheaper by the Dozen.
This show made me laugh again!!
Uma called Charles 'soft lips' at the lift. Fast forward to 2-3 episodes, Charles revealed that he once kissed Bunny and Bunny told Uma about the kissing.

The character Brazzos is a malaprop of the Brazos River in Texas because Martin was born in Waco Texas, which is on the Brazos River.

Normally.. I would not comment until the end of a video.. but for this one I had to hit pause. As many commenters have said before me.. we get the fact that Tina Fey played Sarah Palin on Saturday Night Live. Is that why you are choosing to refer to her as Sarah Palin in the video instead of Tina fey? Did you do it because.. you wanted to see if viewers would notice? Or.. is there something else I am missing?

2/3/24 Either Larry David or Danny DeVito would've been great as the 3rd person. However, the show would be about 3 seniors as the holy trinity who get mixed up in too much murder & mystery messhugeh. Sometimes too much homogeneity is not a good recipe. Pairing Boomers Martin & Short ("Martin & Martin"? lol) with a Millenial was what was needed, but it was a risky move. Get the wrong Millenial, or the wrong gender .... & you have a recipe for disaster. I've heard of Gómez for years - movies, TV series, albums, concerts, kidney transplant recipient, etc - but she's too young for my interests. What I was unaware of was her ability to do absolute deadpan delivery. Her deadpan responses & acid one-liners to her 2 very goofball cohorts & partners in anti-crime is hysterical. Im so amused that this once squeaky-clean Disney kid can spew out profanity at warp speed & leave everyone in the dust. This combo or magical mystery mirapoix WORKS - & and it's so good!
