In my area (w. London) around 2005 we had 8 large recycling bins/areas. Now there's just 1 very small place, the powers that be want an increase in plastic pollution. Think back to 1990 we only had Evian and spa, and not many people bought them.

Bro in India we always give away our newspapers, plastics etc from our homes to these ppl who come with a vehicle and pay us for the stuff almost every month. We call i t 'kabaad' and tbose ppl r called kabaadis. Just bought a new a.c and we're selling the old, non working one to the kabaadi.

They do pay for recycling in Russia too but trash is trash and it's not worth the hassle of getting it to the recycler. No one's going to purposefully go on a trip across town with huge bags of trash to get 3 cents. Not to mention u have to pile it up somewhere in your home for a while.
