@Mark Price I don't know how old you are but you obviously don't know anything about NYC. Glasgow has a population of about half a million people, Edinburgh the same. NYC and it's tristate area has about 18 Million people. Are you trying to compare a bad neighborhood in Scotland to one on NYC? You're joking right? Ever heard of Hell's Kitchen, Harlem, Bed Stuy, Brownsville or Red Hook? Google a movie called "The coolest year in Hell 1977" Scotland's very worst areas are considered normal and safe compared to NYC. Just one of the aformentioned neighborhood in NY has a higher murder rate than the whole city of Glasgow.

Anyway long story short the squirrels are all hopped up on coke lmao! What is absolutely true and you can see it on KZread is what they call Pizza rat. Just a word of advice. Never ever get on an empty train when the other cars are packed. There is a reason that one car is empty. Plus the upside down guy plays in front of my place of business all of the time. It's funny when you just walk by, but it's rather annoying when you have to hear that bullshit camped out in front of your business for hours. The dancers on the train are also not very amusing when the kid someone in the head.

I have only been to New York City once in my Life and until this day was one of my greatest experiences. Entering Manhattan on an October sky Autumn evening in 1993 was Absolutely Without words to see that as a Kid one the most terrifying and inspiring things to see. A Metropolis From Every point of view ahead Reaching into the Sky Literally. Even as an American born and bred I cannot describe the Absolute Awe of seeing finally a City My Nation was Coveted for Internationally. The sight of those Skyscrapers Glistening like Golden Towers in the Autumn Sunset was Indescribablely Terrifying and at the same time Awesome as I remember crossing into the Island Metropolis. At that moment as an American Kid, I finally realized the Power of the United States at a young age.

On my first trip to NYC, we were stuck in traffic under an L, and a car comes racing down the street half in the road and half on the sidewalk. It hit something and jumped completely onto the sidewalk. It almost took out a guy who was sitting on the sidewalk out front of a store. The car then crashes into a bunch of trash cans sitting on the sidewalk. Much cursing and angry yelling. My traveling companions and I are freaking out. Our driver, and everyone else in the other vehicles, were completely unfazed. He calmly chuckles and says, “Welcome to New York.”

I grew up in NYC and would take the subway to school for grades 7-12 in the late 1970s and early 80s...the rats on the train itself and down on the tracks were the size of that cat so I understand why the people were freaked out since they thought it might be a rodent with rabies. There is a famous videos of a rat so big that it was carrying around a slice of pizza in its mouth. Many train performers were pretty good and could make a living off the tips from the crowd- usually singers and musicians....lots of homeless doing weird things like walking around naked or just dropping their drawers and taking a dump in front of everyone....this ended in the 90s when they got a lot of people who were mentally ill into shelters....

My beautiful best city in the world. You know what you get in NYC? 9 plus million residents in a space that isn't more than a dozen miles top to bottom and east to west and 15 plus million people on any given day inside the city with a 24/7 transportation system and socal scene....ethnic enclaves and gentrification and the most diverse population of people and cultures in the world all interacting at the same time....kids who have never left the city up to elderly people who are native to the city and never left. Mixing with people who are there to visit for 2 days or make it their home for 2 years for the experience. You don't see eccentric people because its NYC, you see eccentric people just the same as you see the elite intellects and entertainers and business men and scientists from around the world. Weird people just exist so they exist here. And they are not made to feel they need to leave. And Mike? You will certainly run into characters who do mean harm and you don't want to be around. That's part of it too.
