The itik salai that you go is really far. You should get off at Kajang station (not Stadium Kajang), take the T462 bus to Seksyen 8, exit the bus at Seri Wirani bus stop and just cycle a bit to Itik Salai Mashtar in Sungai Ramal. It is nearer (and lesser hills).

Halal at the water filter refers to the filter that they use, cause some filter may be made from non halal bone etc. And for food, as long as it is muslim restaurant, stall or anything, we just eat there.. but for the ready made/ instant food sell in the supermarket, we have to check it first

Yes..even water filter. So for muslims please make sure halal certificate before consume

"Hati-hati" does not mean "take care", the meaning more like "be careful"... take care= jaga diri baik-baik be careful = hati-hati

Instead of "hati-hati", you can also say "jaga diri" which has closer meaning to "odaijini". Speaking about halal, the term actually extend beyond "non-alcohol" and "no pork", halal means that something is "clean" and proper. Eg, we can also say "I am working diligently to earn my halal salary", which could explain that the person is doing things in earnest and proper way to deserve his 'pay'. Halal logos in Malaysia is used to show that the premises/product has been inspected and certified "clean" and appropriate to be consumed/ eaten, which in muslim's context, something appropriate to be eaten means its clean, clear abt its origin, correct method of slaughter (for poultry), no trace/contaminant of alcohol nor pork etc.

Yes...you can say "hati-hati" when you trying to say "Be Safe" but it's kinda sounded traditional and lil bit outdated saying "Hati-hati"...new gen usually say "SELAMAT" with firm tone also meaning "be safe" in malay language. 'Hati-hati" stronger meaning for "Be careful"

Please get some lights (front & back) for your bicycle. At night cyclists are not easily seen, and it makes travelling on the road riskier. Wearing black is not helpful either, so please get some safety reflectors on, either on your body or on the bike. Good that you've got yourself a helmet though!

Actually halal not meant for pig and alcohol drink..its more than that..chicken can be haram if it handle in wrong way..the way they feed,raise, slaughter,the ingredients,the way they cook and much more...

So you did eat E.T. masak lemak! 😁 btw Malaysians are very sensitive to Halal certification even on water, teabags etc. because we want to see certification as assurance. You don't experience this in other Muslim countries like in the Arab continent. They put the responsibility on the seller.

"Jalan Sehala" is One Way, and halal sticker on that dispenser i think someone just stick there.

For Halal, the coway should have that halal logo because of the filter system that they use..the sources of the filter material that been use. For tap water, there's no need to put halal, which is already halal because there is no filter used. We can drink river water to, as long as we assume it clean and there is water flow.. So, hope this answer your question..

Kaz, perhaps you could invest in an "e-bike" if it's available in KL. It's basically a bicycle with motor and battery pack. You can ride it as a normal bicycle, while charging the battery. If you're tired of pedalling, the bike's motor takes over. Even better when you're going downhill, you don't have to do anything and just let the battery charge. KL is hilly and can be a torture for cyclists.

Just my 2 cent opinion. To say "take care" in Malay it is better if you say "jaga diri" rather than "hati-hati". Because sometime if you say "hati-hati" with the wrong intonation it will translate to "you better watch out"... Forgive me if I'm wrong.. When I saw Kajang 2 I thought he was going to Sungai Ramal Dalam branch. Amazing that he cycled all the way to Sungai Merab 😂 (I guess Kaz also wanted to visit the pineapple farm so yeah)

Halal certified means that it compliance fully to Islamic regulation. eg- In water machine, some filter derived from animal bones & that is prohibited. Food sources & process must fully follows strict guideline to get that HALAL cert. The leaf is the tumeric plant to get the aromic & special taste.
