Jellyfish song still gets me from time to time. But as one game character once said; if it makes you feel something, like deep down. It means it meant something.

The recent comments on this make me so happy that this game isn’t fully dead 😭 as problematic as it may be, this game and it’s characters mean so much to me and the music shaped my taste in music today 💗 I remember the credits rolling and watching it all the way through because I was just so happy I finished with Koujaku’s good ending!

@@katsuyafeather1309 aside the bad ending which are pretty fucked up (i mean, that depends on the person tbh), i think its about mink? i havent fully played dmmd tbh, but i heard really bad stuff about mink and how poorly he was handled as a native character :(

@@NakiNeko Ooh yes that makes sense. Mink's route and pre-route are pretty rough and I don't like it either. There's a few things that ride the edge of questionable but Mink's stuff was just blatantly uncomfortable and even triggering.

@@katsuyafeather1309 way too true that, as tbh someone who came from the anime, then to the game recently, mink WAS my 3rd fav mainly due to my insecurities growing up, and seeing this dude pull it off so well, which made me end up appreciating my features. Now that I played the game a bit, minks route was just a massive WTF moment, there was really nothing good or nice? That happened, even with the DLC, it just keeps going down hill, to the point, I'm starting to think mink was actually ment to be seen as a bad guy, a villen, which made way more sense, to then betray him as the "good guy" compared to the rest, as tbh this dude did all the bad things imaginable and then some more 💀 minks route straight up is just a "how many red flags can you spot and not feel sick" game lmao 😭

Same here!! I remember when first playing I did his route last, as he was my least favorite and man did I really unknowingly save the best for last. His writing was imo the best in all of dramatical murder, both good and bad ending. His inability to react "appropriately" and his lack (and yearning) to feel empathy for others, all problems stemming from his family situation + childhood; hits home horribly. It's honestly an amazing piece of writing and I'm disappointed that Dmmd's fantastic writing is overshadowed by "Lol this dude dates his dog"

Played DMMD when i was a teenager (when i wasn't supposed to even play it to begin with) but woah, not only this game hits me with such nostalgia but GOATBED...became my favorite band ever! I listen to their music to this day, i can't even think of someone else to make such beautiful melodies, they really did poured their hearts into making the music for DMMD. I hold DMMD and GOATBED (especially) close to my dear heart, GOATBED's songs made my days better when i was a teenager, DMMD's ost is an absolute masterpiece. (﹡ˆ﹀ˆ﹡)♡

The fact that i had to wait 8 years for myself to reached past appropriate age and understand English and Japanese better to find a way to play this game 😭😭 i replayed again this year after purchased the official English version just to realize that i still love Clear as much as the first time i saw him years ago 😭😭

I rarely revive/replay old games, but dmmd is not just a game, is a life experience. This game helped me to cope with my loneliness, depression and even s uicide. Dmmd showed me that life can be better,hard times just pass.

this make me sooooo nostalgic. DMMd will always have a special place in my heart. and seeing everyone connect around this song… ahhh im gonna cry. i miss this game. 😭

the music of this game is SO goddamn powerful. I dunno why but this always nearly brings me to tears. I always seem to associate this with Clear. I dunno whenever I hear the start of the song, the first thing to pop up in my head is Clear sitting on that rooftop. His route wasn't something I expected to affect me so much since I hadn't really cared for him as much as I did the others in the common route but DAMN I think my heart shattered seeing the life leave his eyes and then my poorly pieced together heart shattered again when I saw him sitting on the rooftop. that CG is my background of my laptop rn I love it so much.

I personally appreciate that the bad ends are actually BAD and fucked up, as per the game genre lol, its definitely morbid and it makes it engaging. However I also draw a boundary in my mind between normal Clear and post-brainwashing Clear, so I can keep thinking of his route as the heartwrenchingly beautiful and pure thing it was and clearly(lol) keep it separate from the bad end. I just don't see Clear as being able to ever do that if he was in his right mind you know

Clear's re connect bad end traumatized me im trying to forget it by listening to this and remembering the good end😭😭🤍

I started crying after this came up right after we find Mink-- Koujaku and Clear's good endings had me in shambles too 😭😭

i was so blown away by this song the first time i listened to it, it's so magical and nice

BL visual novel game is so hard to access to play back then because it's japanese. i just have a chance to buy official english one at the early of this year. i am a fujoshi for a decade and this game is the first and only BL game that i willing to pay to play it. the art style, character design, story writing and music are surprisingly suit my taste not like other games (i didn't mean that other games are bad. it just that the art and character design don't catch my attention) btw i really like Clear in both good and bad end. he is my little baby boy 😭🙏❤ i wish that i had a friend that into this game to talk with.

After getting my first good ending today (Clear's route and My God, Holy Jesus, I cried) finally could listen this song. A little story: I listened before all the bad endings themes but never this (only I knew that this was the good ending theme). When I purchased the game I thought: "I want to listen it for first time, like a surprise XD" And what a surprise. It's a beautiful song :"3 so nostalgic. Remembering now that scene with Clear in the roof, smiling... I'm all tears now hahahahahaha. And of course I will get the others good ending. Honestly, DMMd was the best thing that happened to me in this year. I'm in love with that game.
