I was the only American working at an American-Chinese style takeout/buffet (others were from Hong Kong or they were Spanish speaking. All the Spanish said with a heavy Mandarin accent was so interesting. One day the owners made a steamed fish and rice and I don't eat meat anymore but the meat next to the fish eyeball was the best part. Two good types of food but very different and I personally like the traditional a bit better. I love all the Chinese and other Asian and "fusion" foods all day. I live and breath and die by the dumpling.
