Rungne is very expensive compared to other climbing brands. I'd be okay with that, if I knew it was produced in Europe and its a small business etc. But the problem is, Rungne doesn't provide all that information. With some T-Shirts it says they are made in Turkey, which I guess can be considered Europe. Some tops are made in India, which definitely isn't Europe. And e.g. with the Highballer Pants there is no information about the origin whatsoever. Chalkbags lack that info too. So I must presume it's made in China or Vietnam... Not sure why I should spend 69 USD on a chalkbag then.

I'm really surprised how short a lot of the climbs are. I don't see many (any?) sit starts and a lot of them start at chest height with comp feet. The climbs feel like they're very focused on a single crux section whereas a lot of US gyms are 2-4 times longer problems than these.

I think for grip strength to mean anything it has to be relative to body weight. The England rugby players tested their grip strengths for fun and one player got 86 kg. But obviously that are a lot heavier and with a lot more muscle mass.

That grip strength dynamometer caps out at 90 kilos, and if you are over that a lot of the time it reads a lesser number than what you actually squeezed, it'll read error on the screen if you're over the limit. I'm always wondering if these pro climbers are just hitting the limit on the dynamometer
