We're going to play this song at my dad's funeral. He worked on a ship for a long time, when was young. It was the best time of his life. So the lyrics fit perfectly. And I know he would've loved this song. He was a great fan of Sarah Brightman. Rest in peace, Papa!

I had a father with the same feeling toward ships/water. He had a brief tour with the navy but something about being on the water never left him. He was always asking me to take him out on the small lake we lived near. Right up until his death the best time of his life was out on any sort of boat enjoying the water.

In my uncle's funeral we played Time To Say Goodbye. He's a great fan of Sarah Brightman. He had all her albums and he is the reason why I love Sarah Brighman songs. He influenced me to listen to it.

Chillingly sad and beautiful at the same time, sung with a beautiful soprano voice

One of my favourite Sarah Brightman songs of all time....my best friend, the girl whom I consider a sister, lives all the way in the UK, while I'm stuck in the US trying to finish university, get a decent job, save money so I can go visit her one day and eventually move there....all in the midst of a pandemic that feels like it won't ever end and has left me feeling completely trapped. Every day, I remind myself, that even though it seems like forever, my dreams are only an ocean away.

​Thank you for the kind words. Sadly I have not made it yet, but I did finally finish my degree and graduate with honours and am now going through the agonising process of finding a job in my field. I may not be there yet, but I am closer than I was two years ago. Hard to believe that much time has passed.

Congratulations on obtaining your degree. There have been a lot of good deals lately on flights from the States to the U.K., particularly from each coast. Best wishes for finding a job using your degree that will test and reward you, while still leaving you time to pursue your passions now while you are still young. All the best to you.
