Absolutely terrifying, i get anxious watching it
The amount of bladesmithing knowledge in that workshop is immense. So many renown and tallented individuals assembled for such an occasion will remain in your memories for a long time!

When I saw Jason run past the camera in the opening, I was like "wait, is that...?" And then it was lol. I haven't been that excited since Jason's Halloween party a few years back when Burt Foster was dressed as J Neilson
As someone who is not a maker, but rather appreciates the craft, this was a wonderful video. Congrats to you both for passing, but the interview in the 2nd half of the video was really wonderful. The lessons he talked about apply to far more than knife making. Life lessons like this apply across so many skills and jobs. My favorite video so far of yours, great job Will!
Congratulations, Will. I'm really impressed that your blade straightened back up to true after the bend test - very cool!

Shows how much that spine tempering matters, as well as the quality of his heat treat

Three people going, "Dayum!" in the back proves how impressive that was!
Watching the bend test is terrifying, but seeing your blade go back to straight after the bend was mind-blowing
i think i am most impressed that your knife came almost back to straight after that bend.
The amount of big names on the bladesmith community in that shop is insane.
The fact that an old master like Steve has such good things to say about Neil just proves how much of a bad ass he is. I love his work.
“Why do you have so many knives?” “Some men like watches, some men like cars. I find beauty in a well crafted piece of sharpened steel.”
I never doubted Will would end up being a master bladesmith. His skill is undeniable.
Congrats man, none of us had any doubt that you'd absolutely do amazing!
Easily one of the most wholesome channels on youtube, thanks for that.
The amount of absolute legends in this video is incredible. Even better you can tell they all treat Will like a little brother. It's so cool.
Will Stelter Master Blade Smith has one hell of a ring to it! Congrats on passing your performance test Will! I have enjoyed watching you grow as a blacksmith and blade smith, and cannot wait for what you do next!

Don't pour out the baby with the bath, he's not a master yet! (Sorry, I'm german, premature congratulations are a bad omen over here...)
Thanks for filming and interviewing Will! 😁👍🏼
I seriously don't say this about a lot of people but Steve seems like someone I really want to meet and sit down and talk with. Better yet piddle around the shop and make something with. He's a rare kind of person for sure.
Grats, Will! Well deserved. Looking forward to what's next.
Congratulations on becoming a Master Bladesmith!
Congrats! Way to go!
Well done, Will! I look forward to the creations that are in your future.
Thanks for sharing that. I enjoyed all of it, and the interview was especially cool.
Congrats Will and Logan! Good stuff
Probably one of my favorite videos on YT in a long while. This was a fantastic video into the insight of the craft and community overall. Congrats Will!
Congratulations. You are a great artist, and with this additional dedication, a Maestro Smith!
Congrats on the performance test, and good luck on the presentation knives! I would love to give this video 3 YT thumbs up for the interview conversation. Super cool man with a lot of interesting things to talk about with such a positive energy!
Congrats man. You deserve it!
Congratulations, Will! You asked a lot of questions that I've been wondering recently. Thank you, very much for that! My small family team and I look forward to seeing what you come up with next, Master Smith, Sir!

Congratulations Will! Awesome job on that blade, when it went back to straight I was amazed.
Great video. One of my favorites you have made
Great job Will and congratulations on the Master stamp! You deserve it bud. Keep up the great work and I look forward to seeing what masterpieces you come up with in the near future. I love listening to the wisdom and stories of all the old tymer bladesmith. I never thought I'd end up being one of those guys but here I am. Old and making knives lol... Can't speak for any wisdom though I'm still trying to get that part down..
Great work Will. Congratulations
Congratulations, Will!
You look great Will! I'm glad that things has been going great with your smithing. Much love from Washington!
Great video and great conversation in the second half! Thank you for letting your video guest speak and not talking over him like so many tend to do when they interview someone on their channel. Great job!
Always a pleasure
Congratulations! Interesting interview, as well.
congratulations ! What an accomplishment ! You are an inspiration .
I've been watching you from the beginning. Well done young man. Well deserved honor.
Congrats on the test, but that interview was one of the most enjoyable, and humbling I have ever had the pleasure of watching. Kudos.
Congratulations, Will. God bless and keep you.
Master Blade Smith! Great job. It's been so fun watching your journey. Congratulations!
Congratulations Will!!! You definitely deserve it, I would love to meet some of the people in your video definitely Steve and Jason. They are some of my idols for sure. Again great job buddy!
Man the connection between you and Steve and his wife is something every man wishes for his kid.
You've got this Will!
I like the Blinkin-vs-post bits during the chop test.
This man has such a beautiful soul and way of seeing his craft
What a rush. Congrats man. And that interview warmed my heart. I’m not in your craft but it’s highly enjoyable to watch and thanks for sharing
Will! I have watched your Journey for years and to watch you commitment to your craft and your pure unadulterated curiosity is truly inspiring. Master! Hell yeah. Congrats.
12:10 Will having pstd flashbacks of working for Alec
Congratulations Will! I hope to buy you a meal and a drink someday. Its always exciting to see a new video of yours get posted. Cheers.
Congrats! But what an awesome conversation at the end with Steve and his wife.
Congratulations, Will, on achieving Master Smith status!! I've followed your journey since your partnership with Alec. Seeing you grow independently as a bladesmith and all of the work you've put in to become a journeyman and master in such a short period of time is truly inspiring. I look forward to even greater creations coming out of your shop in the near future. 😁
Congrats on passing! It is funny how Will adopted a southern accent down here in FL!🤠
Congratulations!! Awesome dude......
Congrats fella. You fully deserve it.
OUT- freakin-STANDING!! Nicely done brother.
Congrats. Also hanging with all those legends must be incredible. 🤙🏻
Well done, what a lovely community yall got there. God bless.
Good luck Will!!
Congratulations to you and Logan!Seeing Logan pass Journeyman doing stock removal is motivating. I always feel like I’m not really making knives because I don’t have the time or space for a forge. Thank you for sharing.
Congratulations! It was great that Neil Kamimura was in the background forging while everyone was standing around waiting for you to succeed. You are the next generation of hard working smith's. I hope to meet you some day. I love bladesmithing and am trying to make it more than a hobby. Forge on brother.
So cool, man! That generation is a treasure. Good company and a spring of knowledge. Its all just too good. Congrats!!
I like how the difference between the journeyman test and the master test is subtly different, yet the differences are enough that even a not-even-an-amateur like me can see the master test is way harder. Having to still be sharp after the cutting tests shows you can make an edge that's simultaneously thin, strong, _and_ durable, and then the 90° bend test on the journeyman test showing basic heat treat skills, but the master test requiring a thinner tang _and_ that the tang doesn't bend is obviously meant to test your ability to get not only a very good heat treatment, but also do it differently along the length of the steel. Plus having to do all that in damascus, which is inherently less strong than modern single-alloy steels and inherently variable, making the heat treating that much harder. Congrats on passing the performance test! Looking forward to buying a knife from Master Bladesmith Will Stelter someday when I've got the cash to share on such an indulgent gift for myself.
Congratulations Will!
Blacksmithing and knife making is fascinating to me I love watching your videos, its very heartening to see you with the older generation with so much love and respect for each other, the video really put a smile on my face and a warm place in my heart. 😊👍 well done and congratulations on the master testing ❤🎉
Will, Jason, and Neil all in the same shop! It's a dream of mine to forge with any of you. Awesome job Will!
Congratulations will!! You’re one of the best, knowledgeable young men doing what you do, accolades or not. With the accolades you will only improve more because of your network and your next level of confidence from the respect of your peers
That 90 degree Bend was awesome. Knife went back to true. Good job!
Watching this at work, I held my breath during the bend test, in fear of the worst case scenario. Not only did it survive, but returned straight!!! The audible " O HELL YEAH!!" got me some weird looks from folks in my office that just don't understand. Well done Will, Seeing the awesome work you do and the passion you have inspired me years ago to begin my bladesmithing journey, and keeps inspiring me to push myself. So Thanks for that, and CONGRATULATIONS!!!!
MASTER BLADESMITH Mr. SLATER ... CONGRATULATIONS 🎉 (and yes I wanted to scream that with letters) Love watching all that you do. Been watching you since the day you started with Mr. Steele. Take care
I'm a huge fan of yours, Will! I saw Neil Kamimura in the background!!! I love his brute de forge style!
Does not matter how many tests i see, I always stress my but off. Well done and congratulations to both of you guys!
Insane seeing what beating a knife can take when well crafted . . . Gratz!
What a great mentor, having men and women like that in your life makes everything you do better.
Looks like you did it. Way to go Will.
Congrats man!! Knew you could do it!!
With a group of guys like all you running Steve around you'll keep him young forever. Legends making legends.
Hi Will, congratulations on obtaining your masters, I have been following you since the early days with Alex, you have matured not only as a blade smith but as a videographer teacher presenter and successful businessman. Well done and I look forward to following your exploits in the future.
Will, A most excellent performance test. Very impressive when you hit 90 degrees and your knife came straight; no set or bend that could be seen in your video. Fantastic performance. Congratulations. Keep the aspidistra flying! God bless, Paul
Congrats!
