Terrific video informative. Question I am not a cell phone user so I guess if I bought the one wheel I would not be able know wether or not how much charge i had without the app to a cell phone RIGHT??? Something tells me......

I'm looking to buy an XR, but how will I know the difference between the XR and the plus. I really don't want the plus.

I was hoping he was gonna tell me it’s not a big change so I can get the + knowing that’s it’s about the same as the XR....dang

Its in the manufacturing facilities hands now but we are thinking before June. Latest June. Sometimes issues come up and we don't want to disappoint people... but I would order soon because they are awesome!!

Whats fender is the blue one? I noticed the Flightfins attach to it but its not the full fender they sell

This is a Craft and Ride fender. The fins can bolt onto both the FM fender and the Craft and ride Fender. If you want to adjust the fins on demand you will have to go with a FlightFender. All of these work though...

what are those awesome things attached to your XR either side of the wheel and where can i get them??

Flight Fins. FlightFins.com The fender is coming soon but you can attach the fins to any fender if you want.

I'm aware the XR has a larger battery and deemed slightly faster than the Plus. However, is the wheel HUB the same on the XR as it is on the Plus? I'm curious if you can swap a whole entire wheel assembly (including hub) between an XR and Plus. Would you happen to know if this is possible?

Nick Roiniotis Hi Nick, thanks for the reply but I’m sad your mistaken. I did it over the weekend and put over 40 miles on my Plus with my friends XR hub motor and everything works perfect. I also tried my HUB on his with about 10 miles and works 100%. So much for science, we both learned something lol.

Slightly different question - having ridden your plus for 3 years as you said, has it held up fine? Trying to gauge the longevity of the machines / battery (since we can't replace it ourselves)

Hey man good vid but turn up your volume by like 25% better to let the consumer adjust.

About those Flight Fins Fenders... do they also work well as a fender to keep dust/rocks off your pants/shoes? I ordered my XR last week with the fender. Should I cancel the fender and get those Flight Fin Fenders? .... or are they mainly for just mounting the Flight Finds securely? Can they be installed with the fenders also?

Thank you for asking! Many of us in the Onewheel community love the look of the board without a fender, but still wanted protection from water and rocks. We did not see any options for achieving this on the market, so we created the Flight Fender. It offers a substantial amount of protection while giving the board the ascetic and aerodynamic quality many folks have been looking for. On top of this, it is custom-made with FlightFins in mind, fully adjustable, and virtually roll-proof. Hope this helps!

Thanks for the heads up! Even though my XR won't be coming until May, I'll be ordering the Flight Fenders and Fins tomorrow to make sure it I get them before they get sold out.

You can’t beat the charge time of the plus with the hyper charger, but the XR is so tempting.

those flight fins fenders might be the best option for fenders. Just saw a video where the XR stopped because of too many pine needles and dirt stuck underneath the fender.

Are the dimensions of the two boards exactly the same?

The undersides of the board are slightly thicker on the XR (probably to make room for the bigger battery). Other than that, they're identical.

Just a FYI you should never completely COMPLETELY drain your battery EVER! It’s really bad for the battery cells! The lowest you should ever go is about 10% 0r 15% and this is not me just making up some shit to sound smart on youtube or anything this is from the man himself Kyle Doerksen and also jack , but 2 be honest jack had a slight differences in OP he seems to like to let it get to only 5% but Kyle disagreed lol so I said can I call it aneven 12% 😂 they both said ya.... so I have ben following that advice ever since I first got my OW-XR 👍👍✅ good luck man!!! 😊🤝

There’s no fast charger for XR?

The XR charger charges at the same speed as the Plus its just the battery is bigger so it takes more time. The XR is basically 3 times the battery in range so it takes about 3 times more to charge than the Plus.

That is the fast charger. You can always not charge it all the way to full if you are in a hurry and don't need the full charge to get where you are going.

That is for the Plus and the V1. Although the Plus has always been about 40 mins (from zero to full). Not sure why they advertise 20. I've owned 19 boards total over three years. Currently have two Plus and one XR.

Don't worry, the Chinese knockoff version is coming soon to Harbor Freight. $99 or so.

3 years of riding the plus... How can u ride for 3 years if it was released in 2017 and your video is made 2018?🤔 This guy is saying some bullshit.

Hahahaha... Nice catch... I meant V1 then the OW Plus. I had one of the first two V1's produced. Board number 52 and board number 156.

wth is 10-15% faster why not jsut say 2-3 mph faster

Its the torque not top speed. Its pretty much the same top speed as the plus.
