GBV against women is much more deeper than we think,It starts with our boy children how we raise them at home it's our responsibility as mom's and dad's to teach them from a very young age how to treat a girl child,how to speak to them and laying of hands is never an option no matter the situation and teach them it's okay to voice out their emotions it's totally okay to do that. Our girls and women should be encouraged by us friends, family etc to speak out it's not a shameful thing to do and we as a community should not be asking questions like "what is it that they have done for them to be abused"? That is just another way of condoning GBV. Coming to our brothers who panel beat our sisters reporting them and putting them in prison is not enough,they themselves are fractured people either emotionally, mentally etc they need therapy and rehabilitation to help them overcome the demons their facing as individuals. Awareness should made by us as a community that there is nothing wrong with attending therapy as a man or anyone for that matter because therapy will help you evaluate yourself as man and what it is that triggers you to use your muscles on woman and in all of that certain exercises will be put into practice so you become a better man. If we all put these measures into practice as a society we would be going in the right direction to ending GBV.😊😊😊😊and that is my two cents.
