Thank you. The camera review portion helped me a lot in deciding my next phone. I love the no-nonsense approach and that you don't skip over details. I appreciate that you don't troll/click-bait with your video titles like so many other reviewers do. And thank god your not following the childish trend of inserting meme's into your video. PS. Would love to hear your take on the Nubia z60 Ultra's cameras which is meant to be global and comes in 1tb of storage & 24gb of ram like the red magic gaming phone.

Really good to get some genuine good feedback so thanks! :) Such a pity that so many creators posted their video at the exact same time due to embargo, which lead me to getting such minimal views.. Anyway, glad you liked it! I don't work with Nubia yet (though I do with REDMAGIC so no clue why I don't get sent Nubia phones as well, lol!), but if I can get my hands on a Z60 Ultra I will certainly go in depth. I am busy working on my OPPO Find X7 Ultra review at the moment, so stay tuned for that one! It's not going global unfortunately, but It takes some insane pics and vids.

​@@TechNick The way you do camera reviews is the best I can find. The effort you go to frame each shot the same to show the differences in modes, resolution, pixel binning on/off, dolby vision, frame rates, etc lets us all see with our own eyes how the phone really performs. Keep plugging away at it and you will build a following of people who appreciate your work. When KZread shows me the other creators I scroll to find your video because I know it will have the information I need. The tour of the software is also something that you include that I appreciate as the software feel can make or break a phone for the consumer. There is an opportunity to give a full tour of the different flavors of Android used by each manufacturer, as I have not found anyone who has done this with the quality and depth of your videos. Perhaps a playlist of videos "Exploring [Brand] [OS-name] [version]". eg : Exploring OPPO ColorOS 14. You could cover the features they include in the launcher, camera interface, in-game controls, alert slider behavior, stock features included or missing and anything else that makes that version of android stand out. Given you have the phones crossing your desk already it is an extra video you can do using them each time a new OS comes out, and no one else seems to be doing anything like this already. Looking forward to your OPPO Find X7 Ultra review as that phone is also on my short list to buy. On paper the camera looks pretty good, but the lack of a 1tb storage option is weird, given the lesser model has it, and the cameras chew through storage fast! We can only hope they release a 1tb model later on.

This was a very good and informative video. I have the oneplus 12 16/512gb preordered and its so nice to hear that the new oneplus is very good and it will be quite the upgrade compared to my current phone which has 60hz fhd screen, pretty old processor, no stereo speakers etc.

Hey! Thanks for the support :) I do feel that the cameras have been beefed up quite a bit with this one so you should defz see quite a large improvement, especially when zooming in due to the periscope lens.

My last Oneplus phone was 7 pro on which the screen didn't turn off consistently when I was taking calls(due to proximity sensor issues?). Also auto brightness never worked correctly. I just bought a new OnePlus 11 last month for $630 from Best Buy. Just around the time that the OnePlus 12 released. While it is $800 on their website, you can get a $100 discount if you trade in any phone, which could be a broken flip phone form 10 years ago. So thats $630 vs $700 and if I could go back, I would get the OnePlus 12 instead for sure.

I am interested on how the HyperRendering will affect the graphics on genshin compared to the iphone 15 pro, since we all know in genshin devs prefer the iphone thus giving it better graphics

You have the choice between that and gestures.

Is this phone worth than a realme gt5 pro? You get more or less the same experience for considerably cheaper price. You also get faster wired charging. I dont really care about wireless charging. As for the cameras, lets be honest you only use the main camera most of the time and you only zoom in up to 5x or 10x max. I dont think its worth paying more tbh. Anyways, great review.

It's funny how the OG OnePlus Nord could record in 4k30 fps already and even 4k60 fps with it's selfie camera.

Yeah, it's odd. Companies seem to think only budget phones deserve selfie performance. Glad to see Flagships are getting there now, at least with Chinese flagships.

Just come today, very disappointed with this display this is not tru 4500 pick, my Xiaomi little 11 5g it's 800 nits, and today it was very sunny day and in OP with all performance on max it was impossible to see something outside, i was with both pfone and Xiaomi wit only 800 nits i see everything, how it's possible? It's some defect on my device or?

Much improved but probably still the OP’s Achilles heel. Will never happen but I’d love a Dxomark camera test running a compatible gcam module. I’m running Arnova’s 7.3.021 gcam build on my rooted OP and it blows the stock shooter out the water, particularly selfie shots. The difference is startling, to say the least…

@@TechNick yes it is! Runs as smoothly as the day I got it. Battery could do with replacing but other than that… pop up works flawlessly. Never used face recognition to unlock the phone though. Prefer fingerprint reader, which works flawlessly too, unless my hands and/or screen is even slightly damp. I see the 12 has measures to counter that now too! Absolutely love the brand! They’ve always remained circumspect and conservative with their feature set, steering clear of gimmicky features dressed up as innovation. I love that about them. Keep the UI clean and tidy while incorporating features that are actually useful!!… anyway great review as always. I like that you back in SA!

I still use oneplus 7t pro, but with pixel experience rom, i think its better than stock. Love the full screen

Yeah the OnePlus 11 was great but its upgrades were few and far between. The OnePlus 12 is certainly a major upgrade, so I'm curious to see what happens with the OnePlus 13.

Obviously One Plus 12. Better chipset, cooling, cameras and battery. It's cheaper too. But yeah if you go for the 15 Pro, then cameras and gaming will be better on that.

Things to add .Instead of optical scanner it should been ultra sonic finger print scanner .e sim availability in Indian unit .no front camera 4k 60 fps Like the Samsung s23fe .lack of ai features .adapter should change to type c to type c charging .ip68 We are paying 800$ for this they should definitely put more no less of a comprise Camera needs to be improved in night time @technick I hope you take my suggestion

Been with one plus since 7 McClaren to 9 pro as insurance replacement. Been great.. Though the camera is my last thought with a phone. Actually wish I could opt for a non selfie phone to get rid of notch. The 7 spoiled me of not having one.

This is a GREAT phone with extremely fast charging including fast wireless charging - I ordered mine immediately after the keynote - get one or be a square

I love the tech inside oneplus 12 and the price. But i don't like the screen size and curved display. I hope there is a pro version 😢

I wouldn't really call what they did here upgrades. It's the difference between a flagship killer and an actual flagship. Last year's 11 was awesome but, it was definitely a flagship killer. Conversely, the 12 is a genuine flagship with all the trimmings. Flagship Killers by definition are all about power and performance but, they pair away many of the ancillary gimmicky features that flagships incorporate. For example, wireless charging is definitely a secondary feature. Anyway, that's just my observation.

Dude I watch most of your videos and content. So my question is I’m an iPhone user and probably always will be, but I want an android phone also. So my needs are it must be smooth and receive updates for a while. What would you recommend for someone like myself? I prefer it to have more of a stock OS and just do the normal things well. Hey bud, appreciate the great comment! I am also an iPhone user tbh but I always use an Android on the side, so I reckon, if you can afford it, get a flagship android that doesn't cost an insane amount and use it daily alongside your iPhone. If you don't like it you could always sell it, then at least you experienced it. The OnePlus 12 is probably your best bet in terms of hardware vs price. It has everything an S24 Ultra does and then some, and it's cheaper. If you really want full stock, then you can't go wrong with a Pixel, but again i'd recommend the OnePlus over it due to hardware for price.

One serious problem with OnePlus, Oppo and Vivo is the green line issue on screen after software update. Until they fix this issue, i wouldn't touch their phone.

I really want to buy this smartphone, but I'm afraid that the beautiful green one will appear, like on my OP9😅

No Oneplus stopped giving free cases last year unfortunately. I had to order one from Amazon for my Oneplus 11 last year.

the display is a much better upgrade in this phone in terms of brightness, ppi value, resolution. The battery is 5400mah compared to 5000mah in OnePlus 11. Chipset is 8 gen 3, the ram is available up to 24GB plus 1TB of memory, there's 50W wireless charging, there's a 3x telephoto camera and new Sony sensors

It's a great phone. Unfortunately my wife discovered this so I have to buy another one for myself 😅

The only problem OnePlus has is that the OnePlus 12 isn't going to be in carrier stores. They need to fix that.
