well, firstly thats awesome brother!!, Secondly, If you know you spoke in tongues, then there are multiple things that could cause them not to hear it, literally, the noise in the church? but other than that its good to pray in the Spirit everyday, so as long as you do that you will for sure know. its been 5 months to this point so i assume your sure God refilled you with his precious Spirit?

Brother, if you feel deep in your heart that you spoken tongues, whether it be for five minutes or an hour. What I’m trying to say is go back and pray for the Holy Ghost for several months until I gave everything away to the Lord fully repented I thought, but when I finally gave everything over to him all my wicked ways, bad habits, same thing That was filled with that precious Holy Ghost 1982 and again Brother oh that’s kind of like the effort Siri he’s always there to question us. Do we believe tell Satan to keep behind you in the name of Jesus Christ and he has no other alternative, but to flea . Because the scripture says the author of confusion is from who the devil himself remember that. Because the scripture says the author of confusion is from who the devil himself remember that. I’ve read that scripture many times and I’ve heard lots of ministers preached that very sermon and I’ve heard the late Rev Urshan preached that very sermon. and again, Brother, it yourself established in your church. Pray every day read your Bible every day Lord Bless

I was raised Jewish and went to Temple for about 3 years, and loved worshipping God but forgot all about it. When I was about 25, I was depressed and so miserable. I sought God and Jesus spoke to me and told me I was forgiven of all my sins. I went to church with my friends and was baptized in Jesus name and filled with the Holy Ghost. My depression was gone forever. That was 43 years ago. I love God so much. But my Mom did not want to hear about Jesus. So I said nothing. After watching my Christian walk for 40 years, she told me she wanted me to pray that my sisters had what I had. I asked her if she meant Jesus, and she said "Yes." So we prayed together. Then I asked her if she believed in Jesus. She said "Yes." So we prayed many times for my sisters, who still may seek Jesus, but I never thought to tell my mom about baptism and receiving the Holy Ghost, as important as it was to me. At 90, she was so very frail, it never occurred to me to have her even lift her arms to seek the Holy Ghost, they were so frail by then. I did not want to put burden on her to exert herself. But I took her to church and to Bible studies for a while. She loved going there. I do believe she is in Heaven.

The gift of the Holy ghost in Acts 2:4,38 and in other places in the greek is the word Dorea and each time it refers to the initial receiving of the Holy Ghost. In I Corinthians the word Gift that is used concerning the gifts of the Spirit is a word called Charisma where the word Charismatic comes from. The initial gift of the Holy Ghost speaking in other tongues is completely different than the gifts of the Spirit.

As a Oneness pastor, I agree with you. Brothers Urshan and Sabin were woefully unprepared and were deservedly spanked, but just the opposite happened in the Bernard/Cook debate. Bernard made "mincemeat" of Cook. Truth isn't determined by debating points or polished performances, as I'm certain that you'd agree. The problem with the doctrine of the Trinity (DT) is that regardless its iteration, it entails logical contradictions which disqualify it from being a template for biblical interpretation. In researching the various types of trinitarian doctrine (and there are several), they either affirm composition in the divine essence or they unintentionally affirm three Gods. Both options are at odds with other planks of the doctrine. Since logical contradictions are untrue by definition, it follows that if the DT is logically contradictory, then it isn't true. And if the Bible teaches the truth, then whatever the Scriptures teach about the Father (F), Son (S), and Holy Spirit (H), they cannot teach the Trinity.

@@davidcoleman5860 that Cook fella literally said that the persons of the trinity were “separate” entities, which any serious trinitarian knows to reject. Bernard, also debating James White in tongues, debated a man who is a known cessationists. Why is that Bernard won’t debate someone with the caliber of Walter Martin... he refused to even debate Mark McNeil (being a former UPCI theologian), who wiped the floor off the oneness position. Wow, you essentially said that God could not logically be a trinity, therefore He can’t be triune. How would you even handle Acts 2:34, where it literally shows a dialogue takes place... where it says “the Lord SAID TO My Lord, ‘Sit at My Right until I make YOUR enemies a footstool beneath your feet.” Or “And He [Christ] went and took the scroll from the right hand of Him who was seated on the throne.” ‭‭Revelation‬ ‭5:7‬. Or when Philip said how he saw Christ standing at the right hand of God. The DT only states that God is one but is perceived in 3 distinct persons. Think of it like standing in front of two mirrors, if you will... just because you see yourself in two mirrors doesn’t mean there are three of you... there is still one yet you can see three. What you do is deny that Scriptures where it clearly shows how God is perceived in such a manner. You can’t be at the “right hand” of someone- or take something out of someone’s right hand- and be the same person that you are to the right of.

@@progodspeed2311 Hello, and thanks for your reply. Recall that in the Cook debate, Cook was the challenger, and the debate was impromptu. Elder Bernard is the General Superintendent of the United Pentecostal Church. His duties and responsibilities keep him busy on a constant basis. Although he has engaged in a few debates, he doesn't have time to go on the debating circuit like others. So, I wouldn't put too much stock in his reluctance to debate. As I stated, truth is not determined by debating victories or polished styles. We've seen "victories" on both sides, but that hasn't changed either your or my mind. And yes, I stand by my assertion that all versions of the DT are inherently contradictory which means that in its articulation, a logical contradiction or multiple contradictions cannot be avoided. If I can prove that assertion (and I can), then the DT is false regardless the truth value of the Oneness doctrine (OD). If your vacuum cleaner cannot pick up dirt, it doesn't help you to point out that my vacuum cleaner is equally defective. Yours remains defective regardless my ability to do anything about it. The assertion that there are three distinct (different) fully divine persons but one God is either directly contradictory or it logically extends to tritheism (which of course contradicts monotheism). As I stated, I can demonstrate the contradictions, but the proofs are reliant on the versions offered. So, if you want me to demonstrate the same, then please provide me with a detailed explanation of your view of the Trinity and why you think that it either avoids composition in the Godhead or why it does not extend to tritheism. Defending the intelligibility of the DT is vital when interpreting the Bible because a self-canceling concept is untrue by definition. We are either forced to affirm that the Bible teaches untruths or we are forced to abandon the untrue concept. If it can be proved that the DT is inherently contradictory, then it is impossible for the Bible to teach it if the Bible is infallible. Your mirror illustration is actually a modalist analogy because you have the exact person viewed from different angles. So, if that's all you think the Trinity is, then there's no objection on our part. But that's not really what you're asserting because your multiplied image doesn't talk to another image unless you're talking to yourself. Since the DT teaches three persons, your analogy doesn't work (again, because one person is involved in the mirrors).
