Many thanks for the review. It's put together very well. However, at 4.45 you state that you charge the scope via the HDMI cable and of course that's incorrect. It's charged via the supplied Type C cable by using a wall charger or powerbank (which the USB end of the cable connects to) and then feeds into the Type C port of the scope.

Absolutely correct Captain! I show both cables in the cut away and said HDMI instead of USB...Damn...Hahaha! I appreciate the correction and thanks for watching! Cheers, Mark

Thanks for the truly comprehensive video. I might be interested in mounting it on a 308 rifle (24" barrel) but I would like to receive your advice between the two NV400 models with different magnification factors and Sony Starvis II sensor (present on the new model). Thanks

First, I want to thank you for your kind words... Wow, a great question mate! The version I was reviewing in my video was the Commander NV400 4-52X50, and that really allows you to get up close to your targets that are small and or way out there...The Commander NV400 Eagle 2-26X50 is fantastic for closer ranges, like when Jonathan and I are on the Rat Farms shooting at closer distances... The picture quality on both of the scopes are great, even though the NV400 Eagle 2-26X50 comes equipped with the "New advanced" Sony STARVIS 2 technology. I would be more leaning towards, how far am I planning to be shooting out to...Without knowing how far you are shooting your 308, I couldn't suggest one or the other for your usage, but If I were going to put it on a 308, I personally would go for the NV400 4-52X50, as I would want to be shooting quarry a lot further away plus have better magnification with the NV400 4-52X50. I hope that answers your question mate...Let me know! Cheers, Mark

@@FarmPestManagementAirgun Hi Mark and thank you for your kind reply. This evening I visited the Sony website and from what I read the Starvis II should perform slightly better in night or low light conditions; situation in which it generates less noise. But this on paper...we should compare the yield in similar conditions. In any case, your analysis and your advice are absolutely correct and I thank you for making me think about the type of use....In fact, medium-long distance shooting is what interests me most. Thanks friend! A cordial greeting from Italy!

@@bikermanfast13 Yes, that's true mate, the Starvis II boasts slightly better performance in night or low light conditions than the NV400 4-52X50. But I am still amazed and very happy with the 1st Gen quality...Thanks for watching in Italy...Please tell your friends to "Like & Subscribe" Cheers, Mark

Is the scope's viewfinder a 4K, 2K or 1K (dated 1080K) set @ max resolution? ATG version has green laser dot & Bluetooth, how about this?

Cheers for the question. The NV400 comes equipped with an ultra-high definition 4K Sony STARVIS CMOS sensor. Resolution of 3860 x 2228, combined with a cutting-edge 50mm/f1.2 objective lens. When using night vision OneLeaf suggests using 4k 30. During day use I use 4k 120 Let me know if that answers your question. Cheers, Mark PS: there is a red dot but no Blue tooth

@@FarmPestManagementAirgun Hi Mark, so you are saying the scope's viewing is 4K? Don't really care about 4K recording or 4K Sony. For example my ATG Sony A9 III IR viewfinder has over 9M. Were you able to take photo @ 48M & able to print it out & how was the print in 11X14?

@@angelisone To be honest, I have never printed out any photos from any of my Day/Night scope cameras, due to the fact that I only use these scopes to capture videos for my KZread Channel only. Cheers, Mark

@@angelisone Hello mate...Are you planning to hunt and record your shots..or are you looking for a camera? Have you checked out ATN Scope Cams? As I mentioned earlier, I have no reason to print on paper as I only use the video from the Scope for my KZread Channel. Cheers, Mark

Please do a video on removing & installing those ATG's batteries (4:50)? Good luck on that one. Even the most experienced hunters CAN NOT change ATG/Samsung. So, when was the last time you have to send in your toys in for repair or battery installation?

Hahaha, I totally agree with you. That was the very first thing I thought of when I was studying up on this scope to do my review. I will reach out to my contact at OneLeaf and ask him about…”What happens when the life of the battery totally dies “ Cheers for watching mate! Mark

Hello mate...As promised, I reached out to my contact at OneLeaf and here is the answer they gave: There is a Two-year warranty on the internal batteries. If/when the batteries die after the Two year warranty, you can send the product back to the factory where the batteries would be replaced... You would need to pay the Shipping cost there and back. Cheers, Mark

@@FarmPestManagementAirgun I am no way going to send it to Asia just to have them replace those batteries. Also, no mention that ATG's Bluetooth is missing. If able to have Bluetooth, it will not provide (viewing) on scope & on cellphone/tablet as the same time.

@@angelisone All my ATN 4k and 5k, plus Thermal scopes are internal batteries...and my ARKEN Zulus LRF scope is also an internal battery...I guess I have just accepted the fact that we are at the beginning of this new technology, and there will be growing pains, and learning pains that we either embrace or reject and stay away from...I for one what to embrace all this new technology, even with it's growing issues and flaws! Cheers, Mark

Whilst we are told about items being 127 yds away etc etc we never see ANY actual LRF information to confirm these distances. On other makes we see definate aspects of the LRF in action ie flickering ranger, Sorry pal but its all a BIT suspect !

Hahaha...James, James, James...I don't get paid anything to do these reviews mate, I call it like it is...The OneLeaf video quality is amazingly good. I was very surprised when I got back and was editing this video on my big screen, how clean & clear it was out to different distances! Thanks for the comment mate! Cheers, Mark PS: My ATN X-Sight 4, 5 and Thermal scopes, do not have any LRF flickering thank goodness!
