Nice video, enjoyed your observations. I’ve a V7 850 and a BMW rt1250 and at some future point will be going down to one again. The V85 is very much on the radar.

Nice video, I bought a 2023 V7 special for my first Guzzi. Only had it a few months and tradded it for a V85tt:). I love my V85 and plan on keeping it a long time for many of the same reasons you like yours.

Great video. I can't to take delivery of my V85TT travel in a couple of weeks. I hope it is as reliable as yours. There is a piece of software called Guzzi Diag that can be used to reset service light when it pops up. That software works on various models by aprillia and moto guzzi. It should hook up to the bike with the correct Euro 5 obd cable for the V85TT

Unfortunately, Guzzi Diag only works for E4 bikes and older, the E5 bikes (like our V85TTs) use the newer 11MP from Magnetic Marelli, which has not yet been cracked. The 7SM is used in the E4 bikes and has been cracked, so you can use Guzzi Diag on those. Hopefully they get the 11MP figured out soon! If you're willing to spend the cash, there's a company from Germany that makes a Diagnostic tool (Duonix I believe) that should be able to reset the service light.

That was a great and helpful video, I am looking at getting a 2024 v85 TT travel The only reservations I'm having is number one the dealership network in Canada sucks and there's places I can go in Canada I don't know if I can get parts for it lf anything happens. Also I had a v7 carbon dark beautiful bike I really like that bike, develop a shifting problem that they couldn't figure out within less than a few thousand km clutch cable broke and then the shifting got so hard that it actually broke the shifting lever. There's just no other bikes on the market right now that check all the boxes like V85TT with all the options and the bike has the shaft drive is most important to me and the price point I only have a few bikes that I can even look at. The stelvio will need another year before it's ready to go hopefully they'll come out with a whole bunch of options on it too. By the way your bike has an awesome color scheme I love the brown seat.

Canadian owner here, no, there are not many dealers, but the bike is also quite simple. My closest dealer is 140kms out, but I do all the work myself. oil changes are easy, valve adjustment was 30 minutes, and I also had to adjust the clutch cable....other than that, my favorite bike ever, I came from a 160hp multistrada, and will never look back.

Good morning since it's morning here in San Diego California... hopefully this week I get my registration stickers I have my battery go bad but it regenerated with the battery tender so I will see how it is performing after riding. Even after buying new acid battery and being the one that pours in the acid on brand new batteries by yuasa on my old Suzuki Intruder VL 1500 now it seems only batteries last about 2 3 years for motorcycles. Once I reach whatever service and service interval I will just keep riding with whatever warning light comes on regarding service unless it shuts my engine off or something which I doubt. Designed obsolescence it's for everyone unfortunately all manufacturers have jumped on this trend.

Hi david thank you for a straightforward review of this bike. Can I ask you please how long do you keep your bikes for? Reason I ask is any bike as fresh as your 85tt will be pleasant to ride as it’s quite new, ie novelty factor initially, but long term is a different kettle of fish. Thanks

Hi, I usually keep my bikes for a year, 18 months but I intend to keep the V85TT for another year at least maybe longer, it is just so much fun to ride I always keep on top of maintenance that is key for me as a trained mechanic in my past life I enjoy working on the bikes I have owned I think the V85 TT is a keeper thanks for commenting and watching👍😁

I would like to know why you sold the MV, it looks so elegant and smart, is powerful and seems to be very well built. I am tempted by a MV turismo veloce, but as it is a very expensive bike I want to be sure I am not making a bad choice.

@@mauropalmieri3342 hi Mauro I sold it with a heavy heart it was a great bike and I really enjoyed it, but residual value of the bike was very poor, it was reliable and I serviced it myself which was tricky, a couple of dealers refused to give me a price against another bike. They are a great bike but be careful when you buy the later the model the better and with a good service history if possible good luck🤞🤞

Hi ALAN, is it because the bike is to tall to be comfortable or handling? It is always a compromise. I know there are lowering spring kits out there. I bought an MV Agusta once that had been lowered it handled fine but it was hard to get on the centre stand. Thanks for commenting
