@@annaverity105 oh it will definitely be back, I know there's a FF7 Remake orchestra down in London again in a few months but the tickets are stupid expensive. Distant worlds I imagine will be down there again either later this year (November December time) or maybe next year

We had a final fantasy musical in Oulu once. Back then I wasnt a final fantasy fan, but luckily I remember it not being from ff7. Mainly cuz there was no choir

I was there and before it started he told us when to yell sephiroth haha. It was AWESOME, everyone was standing up and really into it myself included 😅 he’s an excellent conductor!

It’s a summoning ritual. In Kabbalah Sephiroth means “the way the divine reveals himself” they revived Jenova’s Christ and we got the remake with Sephiroth from the future

We were told to join in before OWA began :) had to bite our tongue last year, sad times haha

I went to this and the man himself Nobuo Uematsu was there and told us to Shout Sephiroth with him and we all did, the cutest thing of this entire show was a random Elderly couple looking 70+ walking into front row arm in arm like they came for a random Orchestra, it was so nice to see they were having such a good time too.

I just went to my first Distant worlds performance in Charlotte NC! And the result was PHENOMENAL AND I LOVED EVERY FREAKING BIT OF IT AND WHEN ONE WINGED ANGEL CAME I JUST WENT FOR IT AND FELT THE AUDUTORIUM SHAKE AND FELT LIKE I WAS FIGHTING SEPHIROTH!

Y‘know, one of these days they’ll have someone dress up as Sephiroth and come up on stage either during or after the performance. Just to complete the summoning.

One-Winged Angel’s lyrics are way more well known than the entire rest of Latin

So there's this weird thing that happens at Final Fantasy concerts. Everyone will be super into the music - we'll all (most) weep a bit at Aeris' theme, or whatever other gorgeous piece they're playing, which is absolutely expected and fine. We're all in the dark, we all grew up with this music, roll with it. But for the strangest reason whenever One Winged Angel starts up, within the first couple of seconds everyone - and I mean EVERYONE - giggles. It happens every time. It's an automatic response. I do it too, but I cannot for the life of me explain WHY. It's not like it's the most light-hearted piece ever made, and I imagine most of us about peed ourselves the first time we heard it in that boss battle. It's a brilliant, iconic piece of music but it makes people... giggle. I don't think Sephiroth would be pleased.

Maybe it's the hype? Or maybe it's because this is actually a thing at many of the DW concerts; when it came to the U.S.A., Nobuo Uematsu, the man himself, came onstage and explained how the audience was going to be the chorus shouting "SEPHIROTH!" whenever the time came. If it's in joyous anticipation, Sephiroth be very pleased by his followers' glee...

As much as I love the Character.... I will now avoid saying his name. We really don't need another guy running around with a cult trying to end the World. Still, love the Character and this masterful Song!

I don't know that there exists any character or work of art that commands more fear, respect, and power than One Winged Angel and the character who's name it invokes and who's presence it heralds. A crowd of people from all over the world gathering to watch in awe as the song is performed, listening to the choir sing and only breaking their silence to join them in belting out his name. An absolute powerhouse in musicianship, composition, and all the things that go into making a character into what they are. Incredible.

That would be epic as hell! And how about this, in another part of the world, in the studios of Bethesda, a lone man in his office, is watching the actual arrival of Sephiroth on his computer. He grins, and surmises to himself:'Hmm, maybe now is the time, to reveal my true self as well, and pay this Sephiroth a visit?' He then stands, and with his back still to us, starts to glow. Him, and the room, are being filled with rainbow-colored light. Which comes together as butterflies, which fly out the open window. The man now standing isn't Todd Howard, it is the Daedric Prince of Madness himself, Sheogorath!

Unusual for the live version to be faster than the original.

They did at a couple of shows. They used to do a whole sing along, not just the “chorus”. I was fortunate to be at a couple of those shows, a lot of fun

The orchestra must’ve had the most serious look on their face as they sung the lyrics

I was in the Madrid concert and it was one of the best moments of my life. People went ballistic with this theme and I think we teared up enough to fill an olimpic pool when To Zanarkand played.

Omg, I was going through live performances and accidentally stumbled upon this video. I was not expecting to have the whole audience join in 😂😂 It startled the heck out of me and for a short while I was very, VERY confused. I have since shared this video with several others because of how weird and awesome this is.

Is this the most iconic villain theme ever? I feel like it rivals Darth Vader’s Imperial March

I went to this concert when it came to California several years ago. Flew all the way from Texas for the concert and I was visiting a goid friend too. Then in 2023 in Austin, Tx (I'm 35 minutes from Austin). I still remember everyone shouting out Sephiroth with the choir. It was quite something. This is worth it for any Final Fantasy fan!

I was deciding to do another play through of either Xenogears or FF VII. One of those play through a that takes months to complete because you max out absolutely everything on everyone. This video has made my decision for me. Emerald Weapon here I come.

That moment when the Conductor is like "Well shit, might as well throw the crowd in as well!!" But honestly it feels completely underwhelming hearing this without the awesome guitar riff from the proper Advent Children arrangement, which becomes all the greater an impact when you're seeing basically the entire orchestra give way to one single player for a moment, before roaring back in to finish things off.

This has advent children screaming all over but has the lyrics of the original. Not quite a surprising crossover but somehow in surprised.

If Sephiroth can kill F-ING kill a reality-bending god in ONE HIT, him popping-up here would be easy for him! I'm sure he can figure out how to dimension/universe hop!
