Taylor and Alex worked on the screenplay together. This isn't Taylor passing off her book to filmmakers to make more money. To everyone saying they're marketing it like a rom-com, I think it's important the note the joy Emma finally found with Sam. To those thinking this is not how they imagined these characters, coming from an a mixed Asian American, let me just tell you, representation matters. The blonde pixie cut doesn't really matter... Emma and Sam being Asian matters to those of us who don't often see people who look like us in principle roles.

I also think the representation is amazing! However… a lot of the story and her grieving process includes her visually taking on changes to reflect her inner change as well. A big chunk of the story rests on her getting her haircut and the actress playing Emma should have advocated for it IMO.

I've been waiting for this movie since it was announced. Nobody knows how excited I am to see Phillipa Soo and Simu Liu on the big screen together! I'm team Emma and Sam frfr.

I just finished this book today and I can already tell the movie is not going to live up to it 😭 I can tell from the dialogue in this trailer they changed a lot of stuff. I may still watch it but I kind of don’t want to ruin the images I have in my mind from the book. I’m glad that this movie coming out will make more people read the book though!! ❤

Agree! I can see Luke and Simu for the guys but they picked the wrong girl and I think that will ruin a lot for me. They changed so much of the movie.😢

On the big screen everything is easy perfect beautiful and amazing but in real life everything is disaster stress just to find someone or the person you are with they give you a hard time they make you worthless and you hate yourself. I think that’s too much we can watch this movie it’s looks good that’s real life real life is real life guys so don’t depend on big screen is just acting guys. Thank you.

Simu liu as Sam Kemper is the only best thing about this movie adaption.. but the other things are not like the book and it's one of my all time favourite books and this movie is not what I thought it would be.. and why does Emma has dark brown hair.. and also why does she not have a pixie cut after Jesse's accident.. like these were some major things from the book.. then why it's not there.. and damn the dialogues are different too.. why would they change those... but let's hope it's a good one..

This movie is messed up......................spoiler..... ..........., I get it she found out her husband is alive but damn she sleeps with him when they go away together and then realizes she loves her finance and goes back to him.....and they try to make it all romantic and stuff but damnnnnnnn like wtf she sleeps with her exhusband and then the fiance? Like wtf and the fiance gave her some space knowing she is going threw stuff......and in the end she ends up pregnant they made it look like it was the fiance but the timing puts it with the ex husband i cant be the only one thinking it...........anyways she is for the streets
