this scene really gets to me

I swear this show will forever Make me Wish I could go back to when it first aired back in 2003 early 2000s were better in ever way

The Actress playing young Karen looks like Sophia Bush who played Brooke.

Nathan was just like his father her knowing he always made fun of Keith knowing he was jealous of much better everyone like Keith more, so he decides to do it to Lucas. Like father like son

Nathan really was a good person even back here. Dan was just controlling him and getting in his head in the beginning.

dan did in fact stay with deb, marry and have nathan together but he didnt love her like he did for karen, dan realized how much he longed for her being with deb. throughout the show he tried hard to get her back and have her on good terms & such. nathan shielded that his father actually wasnt even considered a father, he always was pressured, forced, alone, etc. in such a big home even his mom wasnt present bc she had work and at one point she truly did leave for another man but dan made it appear as though she left for work bc she ended up coming back anyway. nathan had picture perfect family but that’s it just for the picture, lucas only had a mom thats true but he had his uncle keith who was his father figure, both being fully present within his whole life and maybe he doesnt have the most money or such a big house but he had love, support, affection and care which overweighs what nathan had by a million. nathan hid his pain away from how f’ed up his family truly was by putting down lucas, to make it seem as though bc dan was was with him and his mom that he was better when he truly wasnt 🤷🏻‍♀️

What pisst me off.Nathan Didn’t struggled the way Lucas did. Everything Nathan has was given to him . Lucas never had that. Nathan grow up in a happy 🏡 home. With a mother and a dad. Lucas grow up in a broken home with a mother and no dad. His uncle was there for him. He was a father finger to him. What Nathan did to Lucas was really fuck up.Nathan was given Opportunities then Lucas. Lucas struggled to get where he is now.

No actually Nathan didn’t. He hated his dad for pushing him too hard and his mom was always off on “business trips” when she was actually sleeping with another guy. Nathan reveals later than he was balling out crying almost every night because his mom left him and when he found out, life was the worst for him.

I also disagree, can't really say that Nathan grew in a happy home. Yes he got the money, the big house and both parents (kind of), but it wasn't a happy home. Lucas, on the other hand, didnt have much financially, but he did grew up in a happy home with Karen and Keith.

Lucas did have it worst, Dan might’ve pushed Nathan yet he did have it easy though and things didn’t come so easily for Lucas, like he never asked to joined to the team and when he did people started hating on him just cause Nathan controlled them as his puppets

nathan got the look of a perfect home, but when you go inside it was a mf mess. yea he did get the big house, mom and dad plus money but he never got any affection from his father mostly pressure to doing this and that, his mother was rarely there at times bc of “work”, his parents barely get together bc of that but when they do theres always issues, he was pretty much alone in such a big house and yea he had money but how far can that get you within the internals of happiness bc money gets you temporary happiness & love gives you eternal happiness which he honestly lacked from his household and life. lets not forget nathan emancipated at 16, he was out and doing his own not enjoying the teen kid stages of not having to struggle through adulthood just yet but he had too bc he needed it, he wanted to escape. lucas didnt have his biological father and mother together but he had an amazing mother who was there for him, he had an amazing uncle who raised him with her, he didnt have the fancy stuff but he had love. he stayed with his mother till he was an adult, he got to cherish his teen kid self. never say nathan didnt struggle bc he truly did.

I feel like Lucas grew up more happy than Nathan did. Lucas had Keith a father figure who was kind, Nathan grew up with dad an ass of a father who was hard on him. So in the end I think Lucas had the happier and better life

I'm definitely glad Nathan grew to like Lucas there like an actual brother soon ish, and wasn't just some douche to him for like 5 years before they get along. I do forget when the turning point happened though and when they both started getting along for most part and acting like friends and brotherly towards each other like was it half way through season 1 or not til around the end or so? I gotta re watch.
