Hey, man. Just wanted to say how much I appreciate you making this video. I was preparing meals for my mom in the last 4 years of her life (she passed earlier this year). Early on I struggled, trying way too hard to only cook the foods she was familiar with and in only the way that she would have prepared them. The consequence was I often wasn't happy with the results and she often didn't enjoy eating the food I prepared. At some point I stopped trying to reach that unreachable goal. I began preparing food both that I knew she would enjoy AND that I enjoyed cooking. I've ended up way happier and less anxious in the kitchen and I got to provide thoughtful fresh from-scratch meals to a loved one in their final years.
