Brew2L that is one clean beautiful Ford Bronco. That truck is a time capsule. That engine bay is clean too. You don't see them clean like that. And the early one's like that one. Are very rare. People never appreciated the early one's. You see the later 351 powered one alot.

Don’t know if you know this Brew2l but that under hood light is pretty cool. They were retractable you can grab it and pull it out and use it and it will pull it self back in. Really cool feature.

Could of bought a Eddie Bauer Bronco in the early 2000’s last year production Emerald green and tan two tone and tan interior with a 351 in it . The guy promised he would give me fist crack at it but traded it in to a dealer !

I had a black short bed bullnose with 8" & 10" drop with red interior, I put Red Aero Bird bucket seats in 302 Auto, it'd run 14.5 qtrs all day.

Another thing that is pretty common on these Bronco's is to have a corroded main battery ground wire. They look fine on the outside, but are completely green with corrosion under the sheathing, which is what my 86 Eddie Bauer 302EFI had going on. It causes all sorts of wierd charging, lighting, running issues. A good new ground cable is never a bad idea on s vehicle approaching 40 years old.

I probably need to check that too. Mine is running very low rpm on idle and occasionally stalls.

Scanner danner has a great vid chasing his tail on an 86 fox, 3 or 4 bad tfis before they got a good one from napa.

Absolutely love broncos! Maybe bc I'm in the northeast but I'd rather have a bronco than a lightning to pair with the mustang. Up here we need at least 1 4wd in the driveway. I snap my neck for a bronco just as hard as for a mustang on the roads

🔔😎 10 yrs ago I had TFI troubles. The expensive parts store ones were junk. After 3 I ordered a $17 China online and lucked out.👍 I've also had internal pickup problems too, and they're fun to change. Get a real Motorcraft part and save yourselves a lot of headaches. Junkyard stuff was running until.... $5 each for Motorcraft modules, TPS, MA, etc. Same parts on CrownVics etc. Get em before they're crushed. JMO

Awesome truck! My first vehicle was a midnight Blue '85 Bronco XLT with a 351 windsor. I miss that truck ALL the time. Sold it for 1500 bucks back in 1998. If we only knew then what we know now!

Thats one sweet looking Bronco. That thing would so benefit from Silver Sports Tremec TR-4050 4x4 5 speed trany that they have the kit for those Broncos and they do very well especially with the 6.16 1st gear ratio granny

That brings back memories. When I was a kid we had a gorgeous 82 Lariat with a 351. Black/silver/black with red pinstripes dividing the colors. Red interior also. It had lift with the turbine style wheels that were popular at the time. Wish I had it now!

I had a 82 short bed with a 351!!! I hated the mirrors on that thing!!!

I had an 86 with an AOD…. Wish I’d had kept that one!

Same problem with my 86 f150, however changed the dizzy, ignition module,plugs,wires cap and rotor. Not a difference.what I did find was the plastic dish that the cap mounts on was sloppy and I had to re- pin the ignition module plug and found the tabs weren't making contact from vibration.

My 86 bronco had the same issue ended up replacing the distributor and tfi module.

Good job! I rebuilt my distributor a while back (p/u was bad) - the parts store TFI failed after a year, so I replaced it with the Pertronix. The coil connecter can let the wires back off and that will do the "fishbite" miss randomly.

86 bronco I assume is a flat tappet cam. Did the distributor you put in come from an HO engine? Are the gears different?

Do you have to do anything special to make Windsor sr heads work on a stock block 302?
