Fantastic! I grew up in Dawlish. My parents ran a craft shop next door to Gays Creamery (Craft Shop Nr 28) and I used to perform in the Junior Savoyards at the Shaftesbury Theatre. Going back for a visit for the first time in 20 years this summer!

I'm going back here this summer. I'm 34 and from the age of about 8 my Nan would take me here to stay with my aunt and uncle, he passed last year. Last time I was there was when I was around 11, maybe 12. I can't wait to see the place again, it's going to be so emotional.

I go there every year and it gets better every time

I go every year, well twice a year with my family, for the past 18 years. over the past 18 years I have always found something different to do, places to visit etc. Wonderful place!

I would love to live there by the ocean. Definitely on my bucket list

I've been going to Dawlish on and off for the last 43 years. Thank you for this, it was lovely!

It hasn't changed 1 bit. I went there in 1979, and it is exactly the same.

love Dawlish...been coming down (and to Torquay) for a few years.... if I could pack up and leave London I'd move down there next week - a nice part of the country.

Love Dawlish will be back there in September, Can not wait

love dawlish we stay at the warren & always make a few trips to dawlish during the week love the place coming down with the family in two weeks getting more excited than the kids

Lovely video, I used to go to Dawlish all the time in the late '80s/early '90s with my family! We used to stay at the Holimarine or Oakcliff Park in Dawlish Warren! We used the Stone Huts mentioned above to eat our fish and chips!

my spititual home,,since 1979,not missed many yearly trips here from york,my kids spent many memorable hols here,and always got a tan. theyre adults now,and i still travel down every year on my motorbikes,this year,made 4 trips,as weather was beautiful in july a august.once swam from teignmouth to dawlish. magical little town. thanks

I like York as well been dozen times both places

My mum performed at the shaftesbury theatre,her picture with the other members of the cast can be found in the local book.

love Dawlish we holiday in the Warren at the Welcome Family Camp and visit Dawlish every day can checked resist the lure of Gays creamery and the Gays creamery special with the large dollop of clotted cream on the top very naughty but nice

hey so you left out the stone huts where the kids get blazed, and the alleyways where 12 year olds can be seen throwing up cider every friday night....

Gays creamery is my nanny and uncles shop!!!
