the bad weather wouldn't put me off. It brings back memories of going past on a train rough sea opening the window in the door and getting soaked. brilliant!

Fantastic! I grew up in Dawlish. My parents ran a craft shop next door to Gays Creamery (Craft Shop Nr 28) and I used to perform in the Junior Savoyards at the Shaftesbury Theatre. Going back for a visit for the first time in 20 years this summer!

I'm going back here this summer. I'm 34 and from the age of about 8 my Nan would take me here to stay with my aunt and uncle, he passed last year. Last time I was there was when I was around 11, maybe 12. I can't wait to see the place again, it's going to be so emotional.

Lovely video, I used to go to Dawlish all the time in the late '80s/early '90s with my family! We used to stay at the Holimarine or Oakcliff Park in Dawlish Warren! We used the Stone Huts mentioned above to eat our fish and chips!

Hi , thanks for your comment. We've had it pretty rough this 2012 season with the weather as you can see from some of my other videos such as the jubilee one.But hopefully it won't put visitors like yourselves from coming another year. Here's to a late Indian summer !
