When photographing things like waterfalls, there is one camera setting that has a huge impact on the look of your photo. And mastering this setting will improve your waterfall photography drastically. I'm talking of course about shutter speed.
Every time there is some kind of motion or movement in your photos, shutter speed becomes a very important camera setting to change the outcome of your image.
And in landscape photography, that movement is often in the form of water. Shutter speed is one of the major waterfall photography settings to get right. If you're wondering how to shoot waterfalls and really capture that motion of the water, shutter speed is where it's at! So I thought, what better example to show you the importance of shutter speed than some waterfall photography in the beautiful nature of The Black Forest.
