Whew, what a struggle to get this here! Also it was hella hard trying to stay on theme cause there were so many lovely scenes worth adding. Initially wanted to include the entire j&l wedding but the compilation got blocked globally so many times I nearly cried.. so had to trim it and leave out way too much of the proposal & wedding. I still kinda wanna cry because of it, haha You know if it was up to me I'd upload the whole double episode and dozen different variations of it but guess I'd be in trouble after that lmao Anyways, it's been real, season 7 sure was a treat! It was fun making these and hope you enjoyed watching them! Now go and stream The Mentalist on Max or Prime Video. It's rewatch time!

I wish you could do (at least seasons 6 and 7) one compiled with ALL the scenes with them.

Season 7 had tons of great moments. One very overlooked scene is when Jane holds out his hand to hold hers when they're going for the confession from the Colonel. It was intimacy on the job when no one was looking, very cute. Also, it's cute how he's already familiar with the neighbours and his shirt isn't tucked in wich means he probably went out of her house to get them coffee.

I hate that the last season only had 13 episodes, I wanted more Jisbon moments

Totally agree!!! And I wanted to see him dealing with the pregnancy. He would totally freak out about her staying in the police during that... and wanted to see them with the baby. It would have been so cute 😢

Patrick would totally cherish that baby. He probably would be a stay-at-home dad and encourage imagination and creativity and reading.

I think season 7 has many romantic moments. Patrick has always shown his love with small things, such as the origami frog (01x01), the way he looks up at the sun on his way to Teresa's house, showing his happiness, the origami crane he puts in her pocket (07x01). Technically, renting the vintage car is expensive, but the fact that he had that thoughtfulness to honor her grandfather is the point. These small moments are way more romantic than seeing them kissing; He confessed his love to her in 06x22 but it took Teresa until 07x07 to return the words, and hearing her say it moved him; his insomnia is because he was worried about the potential danger that Teresa could encounter during the witness transfer, and he entered the house with the bank robbers so that she wouldn't be in harm's way; he went to Chicago to help her fix her brother's problems; he communicates very clearly to her that he could not handle losing her and being at Vega's funeral just reminds him of how easily that could happen in one moment; yes he does leave again but think about it from his perspective -- he already lost his wife and daughter, he lost his therapist/psychiatrist, he tried to help Lorelai but lost her, he had to see dead people every case which must have been hard; in the end he compromised by accepting that Teresa loves her job, but that he can occupy himself by building a home for them, literally and metaphorically. The speech about his ring is really such a beautiful moment, sharing the ring just between the two of them but also wanting to get her a ring of her own. One scene that was not included but significant is when they were discussing the wedding guests... Patrick says to her that he's not upset that she invited her brothers to their "marriage." Notice he did not say "wedding." The word choice is deliberate, I believe. It indicates he's in for the long haul. And the message he says to her before they marry that they must promise each other that they will always look at the bright side, no matter what happens. This felt really special because he understood that it may not always be roses, but that he was committed to their relationship. Secondly, I think the statement also reflects his real self - he is a positive person but was thrust into darkness when he lost his family. Teresa was right when she said she thought he would choose life (01x23). His eyes twinkle and his face lights up, when Teresa reveals that she is pregnant. He finally can move forward from the tragedy that has haunted him for 10 years. I am really glad they had a 7th season to show these precious moments between the two. One final observation: being able to see all these scenes together, it's clear to me that Patrick initiates probably 95% of their intimate moments. He reaches for her (hand/face/arm/hair).

I love how they seem so awkward around each other during the first episode, trying to get comfortable with their new relationship status. At 0:55 Jane definitely tried to ease the tension by changing the subject to something they'd both be comfortable to talk about, in this case, the car. But at the beginning of the second episode, they seem way more relaxed and playful, showing that they found a way to work through that "awkward" phase 😊

I love how once they agree to be together they go all in. That they communicate way more, talk of the future as “we”, “work through” things are just so vulnerable and honest with each other… and I feel like they’ve always been more honest with each other than anyone else throughout the first 6 seasons but season 7 is just another level !!!! You know, I didn't notice this before, but from the 7:24 scene I just realized it was a parallel to the scene when Jane is stuck in prison and lures Lisbon in to see him on the pretense of getting him that blueberry muffin. Except here is honest and vulnerable. God there's so many layers to jisbon I'm never getting over them. Also gonna go back to your video with all the parallels bc it's pure *chef's kiss*

I don't buy the "Lisbon angry about Erica" scene. Sure he didn't tell her everything BUT Lisbon was just about to run off with a guy to DC! So some perspective is needed I think! 😂

She was upset that they traveled to Beirut to do this case and he didn’t tell her about what happened. She was blindsided by hearing it from Erica. She said it would have been better if she had heard it first from him.

I think they didn't want to smoother us and kept the big kiss for the finale. But season 7 was filled with small details implying Jane and Lisbon are intimate. For instance, in the episode when he stays to talk to Abbot and she leaves to go home and he tells her "see you later' which means he's coming home to her, to sleep in the same bed as her.

Agree.... I was expecting more romantic scenes, but they don't even hold hands or arm in arm, not to say hug..... I think Season 1 to 6(before RJ dead) has more romantic scenes even they still not together...... Honestly, waited for 6 seasons, the sweet moments in Season 7 is too less😭😭😭

It was the cup he used at CBI. It got broken when someone bumped into him while the CBI office was forced to close. I can't take credit for this but another commenter made a great observation. The fact that she had kept it for over two years (from season 6 before he confessed his feelings to her) and then put the broken cup pieces together represented her ability to "fix" his broken soul/heart and make him whole again. Beautiful.

I don`t know... call me "negative" or anything else, but I don`t believe in a healthy, stable, more or less long-running relationship with such a whimsical irresponsible egotist like Jane. With all his good feeling towards Lisbon. I don`t think he could have really changed for long, not without having some good deep psychotherapy sessions or smth like that (and of course - a sincere desire to change!). Such a type of men usually becomes a torture for women... See, even in that episode after returning, he bit Lisbon with the remark that he "can`t soldier on" like her! Instead of appreciating the strength of her spirit and responsibility. It was kind of assh*lish. Because this type of men usually says sorry and goes on with his wicked ways. :)) They rarely change, if ever. And it`s certainly a very strange idea to propose to a girl with the wedding ring of your past relaionship, especially widowed. But regardless, it surely was an interesting movie, fun to watch and to ponder. :)) kind of a fairy tale. :)

I think he proposed that way because she asked him if he was ever gonna take the ring off. Like he didn't want to let things go. Giving her that ring was his way of reassuring her as well...i think

I don't think his comment about not being able to soldier on was a dig at Teresa at all. I think he knows how strong she is and loves her for it. I think his comment was reflecting more that he was ready to have a family again. He mentions all the things he would love to experience -- sailing, traveling, culture, art -- but in the end, he is content to stay in a small cabin that he will remodel himself, to begin their life together. He accepts that she loves her job. That is the definition of a compromise. Remember in his "dating profile" that he made with Erica Flynn, he said he wanted a woman who was better than him but could love him in spite of his flaws. I think he is very aware that his egotism is a facade to hide his insecurities. He is at once very arrogant and very shy/broken because he feels the need to prove himself just as good as anybody else. He grew up poor, which is why money became so important to him. He came from a lower social class and he never graduated from high school. Sam Bosco points it out to him, calling Patrick just a clown, not a real detective. He acknowledges his faults and changes for the better. Patrick has so many reasons to be a negative person, but he rather chooses to stay positive. His anger and guilt made him laser focused on seeking revenge, but Teresa said she believed in the end he would choose life. And he did. He also didn't propose to her with his ex-wife's wedding ring. He said he wanted to share it with her because it led him to meeting her, so it was doubly significant to him. It represented his love for his ex-wife, whom he loved dearly, and it represents his finding love with Teresa. He did buy Teresa her own wedding ring. I thought that was very considerate and loving of him.
