One Ring to Rule Them All...(The Lord of the Rings- The Fellowship of the Ring)

Ойын-сауық

GALADRIEL VOICE OVER: I amar prestar aen (The world is changed).
Han mathon ne nen (I feel it in the water)
Han mathon ne chae (I feel it in the Earth.)
A han noston ned gwilith (I smell it in the air.)
Much that once was is lost. For none now live who remember it.
Lord of the Rings titles.
A forge appears where someone is casting some rings.
GALADRIEL VOICE OVER: It began with the forging of the Great Rings.
Three hands are shown.
GALADRIEL VOICE OVER: Three were given to the elves. (Galadriel looks at her ring Gil-Galad and Cirdan are behind her looking at theirs.) Immortal, wisest and fairest of all beings. (seven rings are shown on a table and picked up by dwarves who admire them and hold them up in the air.) Seven to the dwarf lords, great miners and craftsmen of the mountain halls. (The camera moves back and focuses in on nine men all holding one ring each and looking at them.) And nine, nine rings were gifted to the race of men. (They drop their arms to their sides) Who above all else, desire power. (They fade away to a black screen.)
Changes to show a map of Middle Earth.
GALADRIEL VOICE OVER: For within these rings was bound the strength and will to govern each race. (The map moves towards Mordor.) But they were all of them deceived. (Black screen.) For another ring was made. (Map reappears showing Mordor.) In the land of Mordor, (Mount Doom appears on the screen.) in the fires of Mount Doom (Changes to show Sauron wreathed in flames.) the dark Lord Sauron forged in secret a master Ring (Shows Sauron in full armour holding the Ring.) to control all others and into this Ring he poured all his cruelty, his malice (fire moves across the screen and the Ring appears spinning over and over.) and his will to dominate all life. (Shows Sauron's finger with the one Ring on it.) One Ring to rule them all.
The scene changes to show the map of Middle Earth again. Scenes of strife and war fade in behind the map
GALADRIEL VOICE OVER: One by one the free lands of Middle Earth fell to the power of the Ring. But there were some who resisted. (Changes to show soldiers advancing on a battlefield.) A last alliance of Elves and Men marched against the armies of Mordor. And on the slopes of Mount Doom they fought for the freedom of Middle Earth.
We see the armies of Orcs battling with the armies of Elves and Men.
ELROND: Tangado haid! (Hold positions!)
The Elves bring up their shields.
ELROND: Leithio i philinn! (Fire arrows!)
The Elves fire arrows into the Orc ranks. The Orcs advance and the Elves bring up their swords to slash into the front line. The battle ensues and is very fierce. We see Gil-Galad spear an Orc on the ground. Elendil brandishes his sword.
GALADRIEL VOICE OVER: Victory was near. (Elrond stops fighting, Elendil stops fighting, they look up in fear.) But the power of the Ring (Sauron steps onto the battlefield with the Ring on his finger.) could not be undone.
The Elves and Men back off looking fearful. Sauron comes forward. He swings his mace scattering Men and Elves all over the field. Elendil moves forward to try to engage him, but he is thrown away by the mace. He crumples against the rock, dropping his sword.
GALADRIEL VOICE OVER: It was in this moment, (Isildur moves towards his father, takes his helmet off and holds Elendil to him.) that Isildur, son of the King, took up his father's sword.
Isildur looks up at Sauron and dives for his father's sword. Sauron stamps on it breaking it. He makes a grab for Isildur who swipes at his hand with the broken sword, severing the finger with the Ring on it. It falls to the ground. Elendil opens his eyes and looks at it in astonishment. Isildur looks up at Sauron who begins to glow brighter and brighter. There is a massive explosion sending a shock wave all across the armies, knocking the soldiers from their feet. Sauron's helmet crashes to the ground.
GALADRIEL VOICE OVER: Sauron, the enemy of the Free Peoples of Middle Earth was defeated.

I mean, elven smiths forged the rings themselves with the help of Sauron's knowledge. The 3 greater elven rings were made by Celebrimbor from start to finish. They weren't able to bind their wearers because they were never touched by Sauron.

  • @InsanityGrant

Bruh, you really don't know the lore. At first, Sauron disguised himself as a representative of the Valar. His fake name was Annatar, Lord Of Gifts, he teached the elven smiths to create the Rings of Power (19), one of the Elven smiths (Celembrimbor) created the 3 by himself, untouched by Sauron. Soon after, he created The One Ring and put it on, thinking the Elves would obey to his every command, but once Sauron put the ring on, the elves, realizing that Sauron's intentions are evil, took off the rings. Sauron became outraged, he waged open war against the elves. He got the other 16 while Celembrimbor and the others hid the 3, He gave 7 to the dwarves and 9 to mortal men, the dwarves will was too strong, it resisted the power of the one ring but it enhanced the dwarves greed, the 9 were to weak to resist to the power of the ring they became ringwraiths. So that's the story of The Rings Of Power.

The letters are Elvish, of an ancient mode, but the language is that of Mordor, which I will not utter here. But this in the Common Tongue is what is said, close enough: One Ring to rule them all, One Ring to find them, One Ring to bring them all and in the darkness bind them. It is only two lines of a verse long known in Elven-lore: Three Rings for the Elven-kings under the sky, Seven for the Dwarf-lords in their halls of stone, Nine for Mortal Men doomed to die, One for the Dark Lord on his dark throne In the Land of Mordor where the Shadows lie. Well the movie never directly shows Sauron creating the other rings. One could easily assume that they had been crafted by the elves (they kind of were) and later Sauron created a corrupting Master Ring that took advantage of them. The scene with Sauron’s armored form isn’t directly involved in the forging sequence, either, and could be any time after he left Celebrimbor. It’s kind of necessary for him to show up visually in his armor for the whole prologue to keep the narrative compact. It does downplay his involvement in the deception, but it’s a detail that isn’t really expanded on in the main series, either.

even more in depth: Eru, the creator of everything and basically the gods of gods is the only one that can create life. Elves and men are created by his thoughts while dwarfs shape was created by a valar (a god) of inventions and who created all of the worlds materials. while eru blew life in the shape of the dwarves. (sauron and saruman are 'helpers' of this inventor god btw). Dwarves therefor are more resistant to this domination magic sauron tries to use. instead of being corrupted and eventually enslaved like the nazgul (corrupted men) they instead get an insatiable need to get more wealth, which still topples their kingdoms. The elves created the rings with saurons knowledge (he disguised himself as an elf ) while sauron made the one ring to rule them all. The second sauron puts on the one ring the elves feel the corruption and take the rings off and hide them and therefor do not become corrupted. the men become corrupted easily but gain wealth and power in return. slowely they get turned into the ringwraths and basically become saurons thralls. The reason sauron is doing this is because he is jealous that eru favored the creation of elves above him. and so he REALLLY REAAAAAAALLLY wanted to corrupt the elves. so when this does not work... he becomes enraged and tries to wage war on them. que in the intro where the last allience of elves and men try and stop sauron. There you are all caught up!

Sauron was very powerful, cunning and quite intelligent. He’s a Maiar, and they cannot die at all. However, his world domination plan with the Rings caused him more harm than he could have ever anticipated. He bounded basically all his power into the One Ring, seeking to dominate all life. Sauron put so much of himself into the Ring that he couldn’t maintain physical form without it. And upon the Ring’s (long postponed) destruction, he could no longer interact with the physical world in any way. He was basically reduced to a powerless, formless, untouchable and invisible ghost that could do nothing but wonder until the end of time for the world.

Sauron is holding a dagger with which he stabbed his own hand and then poured his blood onto the ring to seal their connection. Peter Jackson didn't film that part cause it would bring a too darker tone to the movie, but the reference is there.

Anyone who isn't familiar with Tolkien can instantly appreciate the deception, and the scale of evil that had to be conquered. The storytelling in 4 MINUTES is better than what movie today can produce in over an hour!!!
